Events Made Clear By Prophecy #02

#0985 /

…Your Word, Lord, to receive blessing from You mutually, to grow up together in Christ Jesus our Lord, to recognize one Headship and that is Yours, to recognize one Word, that’s the revealed Word that’s been vindicated, to recognize one Holy Spirit, and that’s been proven to us and we by evidence of believing the Word know we are in Him and He in us, one love, Lord, all these things are one.

Your Word brings it out most carefully and we thank You now that we are all one with It and one with You and all one together. We appreciate that very much that we’ve arrived at that hour and we know the conclusion thereof and we don’t have to fear.

We have no confidence in ourselves but we don’t have to fear because we have confidence in You, You have proven Yourself, Lord, and made good on every turn, on every behalf of every man.

And so, Father, we just commend ourselves to You tonight, literally commit ourselves, and may Your grace and Your glory not only be manifest, Lord, but may we appreciate and serve You as we ought to in living the life that You have set before us, not just only set before us but actually given us a part of It that we might do the will of God, in Jesus’ Name, we pray, Amen.

You may be seated.

This series, of course, is on Events Made Clear By Prophecy, and we got to about page 10, and we want to just recap a little bit here. I’ve got some notes I’ll kind of read over and so we want to recap what we have looked into so far in Events Made Clear By Prophecy.

The Scripture reading was Luke 24:12-34, and this is the Emmaus road scene where Jesus joins himself with two disciples and upbraids them for their hardness of heart, for not seeing and believing many Scriptures that were fulfilled by the events in the past few days.

So he quoted all the Scripture concerning himself in both his death and Resurrection.

You say, “Well, why didn’t he quote about the fact of his birth and of his ministry?” He already quoted those. The issues were already cleared on those. The issue was “How could Messiah die?” See? We’ll go into that a little later on. He goes into that. All right now.

So He gives all the Scriptures concerning his death and Resurrection. It had to be. See, they’d overlooked them entirely; they just couldn’t place them. The prophet starts his message by pointing out that the Bible is the only sacred book that contains prophecy, or the forth-telling or the foretelling of events.

Not only does it do that but it reveals Jesus Christ the Logos all the way through; it’s a continuous revelation. So you see the events and the Christ go together, inseparable, so therefore, this message will be about Christ revealed and how you know times and all by the Scripture that is in the context of that Presence. Okay.

02

Thus the Bible is the written Word of God wherein the very life of God is to be manifested, and the Word interpreted by that manifestation thereby making the Word clear which is the printed Word here, see. Also, be clear, one Logos. I’ll read it again.

Thus the Bible is the written Word of God wherein the very life of God is said to be manifested, see, it’s going to come to pass, and the Word interpreted by that manifestation makes that Word clear. In other words, you’re absolutely beyond a doubt in an infallible revelation.

And by watching Word and events we see God’s plan for that hour and know where we are at. Now that’s very important. You have to know what is going on and you check it out with this Book because here is what tells you what is to go on and how it is to go on, with whom it is to go on, etc.

03

He then illustrates this by using John the Baptist. And he points out there was no valid reason for the people missing it for it was clearly set in Scripture, Malachi 3, and Isaiah 40, and of course, some other places, too, but mainly in there, those two passages.

And he continues, the Bible plainly tells who, when, where, and what to look for, so they had no excuse at the time of John the Baptist, they had no excuse for Jesus, they have no excuse in this last hour either.

Though God interprets It and makes It plain by manifesting It, due to man’s own interpretation he misses It. Now that’s the key that Brother Branham puts in there and he said, now, all this is very true what I’ve said. It’s very, very open. It’s not done in a corner.

It’s in plain view and people ought to apprehend It or comprehend It. But what is it that stops them? The main thing is they are turned off the track of the Holy Ghost by the track of theologians and denominational preachers who misinterpret, misapply, overlook entirely, sneer at It, or so on. All right.

04

Now, going on, continuing his statement that man misses it due to his own interpretation, that’s a human interpretation, rather than divine revelation reading then in paragraph 42 on page 10.

[42]  Notice, then that’s the reason that these people fail to get it, because they listen to what somebody else says about It…

Now you’d say, “Well, what did Brother Branham have to say?” Nothing! The prophet’s got nothing to say about the Word of God; It’s put in his mouth. He can’t say anything but what God makes him say; he’s in a tube.

You talk about a jackhammer hitting you on the head; you try just getting hit on the head by God. You’ll know that it is sovereign authority.

Actually if you get that… that Bible that Brian likes to read out of, it’s the New International Bible or something. That newer one, you know? It’s a good edition. In there you’ll notice that if you read It that always, when they talk to God, they say, “Sovereign Lord.” I think that’s fantastic.

We say, “Lord God,” and we say, “Well, we hope there’s somebody around that It applies to.” If you’re a real believer, you know Somebody’s in control, otherwise It can’t be God.

And when you use the word ‘sovereign’ you know instantly that means He’s above everything and He’s got control of everything and there’s nothing that can get away from Him. See? Okay.

05

Now:

[42]  …they listen to what somebody else says about It, instead of reading the Word like Jesus told them to do, [You see? Now, now this prophet put that Word out, that’s the Word of God, and It’s going to be fulfilled just as God says It, and here’s the Scripture:] “And They are They that testify of Me. Search the Scriptures, in Them you think you have Eternal Life, and They are They that testify of Me.”

Now that’s… now notice how he puts it: “They are They that testify of Me.” Not somebody else, but all this has been pointing to Me, all the signs, all the shadows, all the types, everything has been pointing to Me.

Every prophet with a role, everyone you see in there, and all the history is pointing to Me. And they say, “Just a minute now,” but it had to if the Bible foretells events and Christ is the central theme of the whole Bible.

It’s all got to work together. That’s why Christ is in the history, He’s in the Psalms, He’s in the Proverbs, He’s in the, well, the praise and everything else, you know, mark it all down. New Testament, Old Testament, just you get it there.

[42]  In other words, listen, “What? Read the Scriptures and see what the Messiah was supposed to do. [What he’s supposed to be like, see.] See what time the Messiah was supposed to come. Look who was going to forerun the Messiah. Look at the hour.

[It’s all those things.] There’s to be a voice of one crying in the wilderness, John the Baptist. And you did to him exactly what you listed [or wanted.] Look what I was supposed to do when I come. [Look what I was supposed to do when I come.] And now what have you done? Have I failed to meet This?” See, Jesus speaking, “Have I failed to meet This?”

06

“Which of you convince me of sin? Which of you can find Me off in one Word?” as Brother Branham, in other words, started an argument. He said, “I stumped you when I was a little child in the temple. You can’t answer my questions even now.” See?

What are you doing about it? Who are you looking for anyway? And under what conditions?

Now he said, “You search the Scriptures because you’re the ones that’s talking about Messiah,” or as I pointed out in the other message, God Recognized By His Own Characteristics 62-0311, in there, he said, “These men, these Pharisees were Christians.”

Well, because the word ‘Christos’ from the Greek means “Messiah” or Messia in the Hebrew, people miss it and it should not even be translated Christ; it should always be interpreted, translated Messiah, then you get a continuous thread, but people get those words mixed up.

So they were Christians in the literal sense of the word, you see, believing to that end, but when he came why they just threw it out. See?

[43]  Notice, as we come on down through… Scriptures this afternoon, how that everything that was prophesied of Him happened just exactly the way it was supposed to. They should have knowed this event. “This fanatic, young fellow raised up, about thirty years old, thirty-three years old… and went down there and claimed all kinds of Lights, and Doves ascending. And, why, it was just… a disgrace.” They said, “He was born with illegitimate parents, claimed He was… of a virgin birth.”

07

Now, you know, that’s true, especially hit hard in Josephus there. The claim was that his father was a Roman soldier and he was, you know, therefore not properly born. Now there are people today who believe in a virgin birth but they go far beyond the Word in asserting to it and thereby they make themselves make-believers at best.

And, of course, I’m referring again… and I don’t mean to be harsh upon the Roman Catholics, but the Roman Catholics weren’t content that Mary could be born of a virgin, no, it’s got to be Immaculate Conception.

Now a lot of Protestants think Immaculate Conception means virgin birth; it doesn’t. Immaculate Conception means that Mary had no sin. Now they added to It. Mary did have sin. She was only an incubator.

Now you can trace your history back through the Bible, family by family, and you may not come to where somebody sinned in the family until you come to David. Now a man that can have five hundred wives, commit adultery and then commit a murder on the man whose wife he got pregnant; that’s not a very good example of being sinless.

So if he was sinful then, right down the line to Mary, everyone was sinful. “Shaped in sin, conceived in iniquity,” that’s what David said about himself.

So they added Immaculate Conception, saying that Mary was sinless. Then what did they have to do? They had to proclaim the assumption of Mary which means she’s been taken bodily up into heaven. Hogwash!

No more in heaven than Brother Branham is or anybody else, although she’s a wonderful woman. I’m not saying “hogwash” to Mary; I’m saying it to the doctrine.

But you see how it is, you start adding to something, you keep adding and adding and adding. You get the little porridge pot boiling and pretty soon the streets are full of porridge. That’s… remember the old, the little old kind of child’s story; that’s what happens. All right.

08

So, paragraph 44.

[44]  Ought they not to have known that Isaiah said, in Isaiah 9:6, “Unto us a child is born”? Ought not they to know [known] also that the prophet Isaiah said, “A virgin shall conceive”? They ought to have known these things.

Sure, and they ought to have known beyond that, because right in the Garden of Eden, when the judgment seat came down to earth where God showed mercy to His children, He said, “The seed of the woman,” and woman doesn’t have a seed, “is going to bruise the serpent’s head.”

Now you can get a pretty funny picture out of that one, a woman kicking somebody in the head or something. Nonsense. They do that, you know.

If you look at some of the pictures in some of these churches, and there again I won’t mention names because it’s getting kind of boring hearing me talk about Roman Catholics all the time and I don’t particularly want to do it but, you look at some of the pictures, you’ll see the woman bruising the head of the serpent, and you’ll see that in mythology.

You’ll see it in the zodiac that the world has, but not the zodiac of God.

Now the woman does bruise the serpent’s head in this respect, the Bride was in Christ and only through Him, see, because a very strange thing is that word in the Hebrew they tell me is in the plural.

One seed had many seeds. We were in Christ before the foundation of the world. So we’re identified with Him one hundred percent but only in identification not in the literacy… literally doing it, rather, literally doing it. You can’t do it.

09

Now:

[44]  They ought to have known these things. But, you see, the thing of it was, they were applying it somewhere way ahead.

Now, that’s true. Now, this is one thing that orthodox or fundamental Christians have known and proclaimed very, very truthfully; that the Jews were so imbued, Israel was so imbued, with the Messiah that was going to take over the kingdom, which by the way is a Millennial kingdom, not an earthly kingdom either.

Although it’s on earth here, the wicked won’t be here. It’s going to be the first Resurrection group, Old and New Testament, and the 144,000 that fit in there. If God wants something else, God will do it because I don’t know what all but we know that… much there. All right.

The Jews had their eyes on the Second Coming, setting up of the kingdom; they didn’t understand redemption that through Him was redemption, and yet the scriptures are loaded with it, but they couldn’t place it.

So in not placing it they went ahead on their own and they decided they would place it in the realm of power, the totality of power, and they being the head ones, that Christ ruled over and they rule over everything else, the whole world. So they missed it entirely, see.

They couldn’t understand death and Resurrection. They couldn’t understand redemption and so what did they do? They said all this about where he suffers and bleeds and all the agony he goes through, that refers to the spirit of Israel and their sufferings.

Do you see you can make the Bible say anything you want It to say to suit yourself but it doesn’t mean it’s going to come to pass the way you say it, and it doesn’t mean it’s really going to be suitable even to you having translated or interpreted It the way you wanted.

[44]  And this Man, to them, didn’t meet the specifications. But He asked them, “Search the Scripture, for in Them you think… you have Eternal Life, and They are They… that are testifying to My Message.” Not what some theologian said, but what God [His Own Word] said would take place! [All right.]

10

The tragedy of getting set in your spiritual thinking is that it blinds you and you miss John 3:16 by omitting John 3:19. Now this is one of my favorites because this really opened my eyes to why Brother Branham kept talking about light.

When I found it here I was absolutely thrilled because it opened the door to my understanding. Now he says here,

John 3:18-19

(18) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

(19) And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Now, It says in spite of the fact that Jesus died to redeem us from condemnation, condemnation exists. Now, what’s wrong? They don’t come to the light, all right, or it’s absolutely ignored or misapplied, that is when the true revelation comes and the specifications have been met.

11

Now, paragraph 45.

[45]   So is it is now! Search the Scriptures, for They are the Ones that tells of the hour we’re living in, tells us exactly what will take place in this day. They are the Ones that you should rely upon, for They are the One that testifies of the Person of Jesus Christ. For the Bible said that, “He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever,” ’cause He’s the revelation of the Word in the age. It can’t be any different.

All right now, let’s go over it again.

[45]   So… it is now!

He’s telling you that people are blinded now, that they will not listen to what the true revelation is, because they’ve been listening to what man’s revelation is, and man has always missed it, the same as Israel missed it, missed it with John, missed it with Jesus the Christ.

[45]  Search the Scriptures, for They are the One that tells us the hour we’re living in, tells… exactly what will take place in this day. They are the Ones that you should rely upon, for They are the One that testifies of the Person of… Christ.

12

All right. It testifies of the Person of Christ. Now this is exactly what has happened in this hour but it’s explained away or passed over lightly or dismissed or ignored. It’s happened right in this hour the same as it happened back there, of course, that’s the Alpha and Omega specific principle of the Word of God. It never changes.

His action brings on a reaction. His action is always the same and the reaction is always the same. Now if you don’t believe the action’s the same, remember we read in Ecclesiastes 3:14, 15 that “whatsoever God doeth He doeth it forever; it never changes. You can’t add to it or take from it, because God does it that men might fear the Lord.”

In other words, respect and honor Him because we know exactly what God’s doing, it’s going on. But you cannot convince the people of that. Now He Himself essentially does not change, neither His ways nor Himself.

13

Now, but this is Luke 17 in this hour and It’s explained away or gone over lightly, passed over lightly or dismissed or ignored. Now what was your attitude when you read Luke 17?

Now we’re not going to get very far tonight, I’ve got my notes up to page 16 ready but, that is, I’ve got them fixed in my mind and I’ve got my little notes all penned in and re-penned in and have what have you, but it’s not going to work. All right. He said here in verse 20 in Luke 17.

Luke 17:20

(20) And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: [It comes but you won’t even see it.]

Now this is one thing about the Presence that I’m so strong on; it’s right there. Unless It’s revealed, no way. Now what… if that’s a true picture like Brother Branham said, “It’s the only known authentic photograph in the world, of all ages.”

Well, is anybody going to sit here and say, “Well, God wasn’t there?” Well, you say, “God just did it.” Well then God just did anything. You can’t just say God does anything without specifying the conditions.

This whole Bible is a history book in the sense we can look back and see how God did. And people say, “Oh, I believe that.” Then why don’t you believe the Word for your hour? See?

Luke 17:21-24

(21) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is [in the midst of you; it’s also] within you. [But the word is literally ‘in the midst’. He’s talking about Himself.]

(22) And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when [you] shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and [you] shall not see it. [Now the language here can be pretty tricky but don’t let it floor you.]

(23) …they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.

(24) For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

14

Now, that’s not zip zap, because the Word doesn’t literally mean lightning in every single case. It’s as Brother Branham said: the light travels from the East to the West. Now, when do you ever see Christ zip zap? Never did, never will.

Show me any event that’s zip zap. You can’t do it. Then you can’t sit and look at this in the same context because He never changes.

You say, “What about Sodom and Gomorrah?” He sent two messengers down, gave them plenty of time. No zip zap, not at all. Went to Abraham, spent a day or so right with Abraham. That’s plenty of time. You see, you’ve got to watch.

Now, he talks about the days of the Son of man and so shall also the days of the Son of man be. Now, the day of the Son of man was about three and a half years, never mind the other part where he was growing up, grew in grace, our Lord and Savior, he grew in favor with God and man the Bible tells you; growing in grace and stature, no overnight affair, no quick carnival. Now:

Luke 17:25-26

(25) But [he must first] suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. [It tells you right there. Now this is closing out time.]

(26) …as it was in the days of Noah, …it [will] be… in the days of the Son of man.

Now, he tells you, what he warned them to be looking for was not concerning them personally in that generation, it was a further generation. This generation rejects. Now the next generation, I’m sorry to say, is going to do the same thing. What’s that generation, this generation we’re living in?

Luke 17:27-30

(27) They [ate], they drank, they married wives,… [gave] in marriage, until the day… Noah entered into the ark [and so on]… the flood came, and destroyed them all.

(28) Likewise… the days of Lot; they [ate], they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

(29) …the same day… Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

(30) Even thus… it [shall] be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

15

Now, he tells you there’s two days. Now, if you can get zip zap on that I’ll just throw my Bible in the garbage tin. You can’t do it.

It’s essentially a period of time, now listen, if in the days of Noah the earth could start over again, and civilization could start over again and it was a hundred and twenty years that God endured a message going out, and this age here is the last of it, then don’t start sweating because the days are going on and on and on.

For Brother Branham said it could be ten years, twenty-five, or a hundred or maybe yet tomorrow morning. Now it couldn’t be tomorrow morning; there’s no way. It has been for almost twenty solid years since he’s passed off the scene. See what I mean?

So don’t you pull out of context because you think you see something because of words. Settle down, say, “What could he be talking about because how was he like in that time when he was here on earth?” See? When he was the prophet and a prophet’s always vindicated.

And the thing that people don’t want to remember is that Jesus was recognized or supposed to be recognized as a prophet. See, Moses said, “A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up like unto me from amongst the brethren.”

16

Now the days then are going to repeat. See? So therefore, one should be well aware not to make the same mistakes that they made back there because now we’ve gone full circle. The mistake the Jews made have gone full circle because they’re back in the homeland.

Now you watch the Gentiles; they’re going to make the same mistake. They’re not going to want Messiah. They’re going to throw Him out and keep Him out, and then the thing is this though: there is no kingdom or another chance for the Gentiles. It’s all over.

And remember, Israel’s chance is only a one hundred forty-four thousand redeemed. Now how many million now? What do they say about nine million Jews in the world or so? Six million, or something? You never know the figures. It doesn’t matter anyway. All right.

17

Now let’s read a little further in this paragraph 45 again.

[45]  They are the One that testifies of the Person of Jesus Christ. [The Son of man.] For the Bible said…”He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever,”

[Okay. The key there then is the Son of man and He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. He will do the same things at the end time that He did on earth at the beginning time. See?] because He’s the revelation of the Word in the age. And He can be no different.

All right. What He’s doing in the Word and to see Him manifested by doing It and the prophet and we placing It back in the Word is the light of the hour, so we know it is the end time. See?

Remember Elijah of this hour precedes the fiery judgment of God. That’s what It says in Luke 17. The Sodom and Gomorrah condition of America.

Now already the world is on the verge of what could be the diabolical plague that could sweep all mankind off the earth. Now I don’t go along with the Bhagwan Rajneesh up there in Oregon, and I don’t know too much about Nostradamus but the old Bhagwan, he figures that Nostradamus’ prediction of world black plague is going to be AIDS.

And that’s not something that you go to the Red Cross and get a Band-Aid on your finger. And it may have been coming through a sexual perversion to begin with through the homosexuals but it is now through contact any place in the world.

Go into a swimming pool, dip in the ocean, kiss somebody, a baby even, as long as there’s something wet you can pick up the AIDS.

Now they believe they’ve got a cure for it. But if they’ve got a cure for it; they’re only going to breed something worse; so if it’s not the AIDS, it’s the black plague.

18

Now what am I driving at? I’m driving at this thing: in the days of Noah, God repented He had made man. In other words, He felt sorry for man. We’ll get that just a second, we read Revelation 3:19; I want to show you something there if I can relate back, if we get that far tonight.

He felt sorry for man, so instead of letting man in this last hour go down in complete degradation which he will go down in and I mean physically speaking as well as spiritual. His mind will be very bright, as Brother Branham said, “Weaker man, stronger minds.” More brilliant brains and so on, if you can call it that, but weaker and weaker the generation.

He said back there man would marry his sister, and it would be perfectly okay because they had to breed up the human race, but now it’s got to the place intermarriage and what have you and weakness and sicknesses and interrelating traits until you have a diabetic with low propensity toward diabetes marries another one with low propensity; the two get together, could cause high propensity and the child has diabetes.

So therefore, instead of letting man just breathe his last going down in a quagmire of physical destruction within and without, God’s going to wipe the whole race off. You’ve got your parallel. There’s a burning fire.

They don’t go down with the last one dying, the survival of the fittest, because there’s no such thing as any fit surviving. The only fit surviving are those that are in Christ and He’s the fit One. He’s our Strength; so He’s the fit One. Okay. We’ve got to remember that.

19

So He can’t be any different at this end time than what He said.

Now paragraph 46:

[46]  Therefore by listening to man’s interpretation, though they see the confirmation of God’s Word fulfilled, they fail to see It. Because, it’s going on all the time, but because they listen. And Jesus said, “They’re blind leaders.”

All right. Let’s take that first portion there. By listening to man’s interpretation, they fail to see God confirming His Own Word, and fulfilling It, so they fail to see It. The failure to see is bad enough but what about blaspheming It and rejecting It or taking from It because that condemns you, too; add or take.

20

Now let’s just go back to Ezekiel 2:3-7 and we’ll just get our eyes open and know what’s going on, that this is par for the course.

Ezekiel 2:3-5

(03) And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

(04) For they are impudent children and stiff hearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD. [Thus saith the sovereign Lord.]

(05) And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, [That means to not listen, whether they will listen or not listen.] (for they are a rebellious house,) yet [ye] shall know that there hath been a prophet among them. [They’ll know there’s been a prophet. All right.]

21

Now, notice what Brother Branham says,

[46]  …by listening to man’s interpretation, [which leads to idolatry all the time] they see the confirmation of God’s Word fulfilled, and they fail… It. [Though it’s confirmed before their eyes they cannot see it, and that’s how God does it all the time.] And Jesus [called them,] “…blind leaders” [of the blind.] And if the blind leads the blind, what happens to them? [All right.]

What will happen? They will lead the others astray and the church puts out Christ the Word and there He will stand knocking at the door.

[46]  Now remember, the Bible predicted this ecclesiastical age of this Laodicean Age was blind.

But why were they blind? The constant refusing of light and denominating instead: we explained that I think on last Wednesday, showing you how that the people will denominate and incorporate and organize in order to preserve what God gave them. You don’t do that. Fresh manna every day.

The minute you do that you say, well, you put a — instead of a question mark or even a comma or a semicolon or a dash, you put a period, an Amen, when you do that. And though the heart may say, “Look, we came out of darkness to light, we better be careful.” Ha!

Twenty years down the road you’re as careless as that bunch as Mrs. Lot was and Lot’s daughters. It doesn’t work the way people think it works.

22

We’ve learned our lesson here a hundred percent. Boy, I tell you, we did our very best; I’ve thought this thing through but I didn’t think it through. I was thinking today about some of the things I’ve said; I have to eat my words.

There’s no word or there’s nothing you and I can do that’s worth a plug nickel, brother/sister.

It’s believe the Word of God and try to get inside and believe with the help of the Holy Spirit, to live It on the outside, and just keep going on with God. But there’s no way to organize anything.

Now there’s a minute, there’s a, Brother Branham said, a minimum of organization, which simply means get a number from the government and what you have to do to incorporate in your own little assembly is merely to protect yourself from, you know, the ramifications of the law, but when you try to work into a spiritual thing, it won’t work. It won’t work! See?

I did my best to protect myself and to protect you at the same time, what happened? We’re right back at square one, wondering who it was that broke the window.

23

The constant refusing of light and denominating instead eventually brings blindness to all the truth that God has for you and you stop right there. Look where Lutheran’s are today. Look where Wesleyan’s are today. Look where Pentecostal’s are today.

And if we aren’t the end time group, twenty years from now we’ll be just where they are, but it isn’t going to work that way by the grace of God.

24

Now, he said, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock.” (Revelation 3:20) Why does a man knock? To gain attention, to get the people’s attention! So what was the knocking of Jesus? It was a period of grace, manifested grace, to gain favor with the people. Now Brother Branham said that.

What is his knock today? Three things by a prophet: the hand, the sign in the hand, discernment, the revealed Word of God. Every single one vindicated. Remember, Christ Ministry Vindicates Elijah. That’s an old tape I preached years and years ago.

If we can get the one in Saskatchewan, you can have the one I think perhaps was the best, showing how that the very ministry of Christ parallels this man here because it was the man, the Spirit working through him.

Remember when he said, the question came in, “Brother Branham, some people say you’re the Son of man. I thought the Pillar of Fire was the Son of man.”

He said, “I am not the Son of man. I’m the son of a man. And the Pillar of Fire is not He; it’s in the form of the Holy Spirit.”

So what was it? It’s the prophet playing the role. How could he do it? God used his mouth to say It, and God used His power to perform It, because a man’s word won’t do those things, even old Nicodemus caught on to that.

[46]  …”I stand at the door and knock.” He’s supposed to be on the inside. But He said, “Because you say ‘I’m rich, increased in goods, have need of nothing,’ and don’t know, don’t know that you are blind, leading the blind, poor in spirit, wretched, miserable, naked, and don’t know it.”

…If a man was naked on the street, miserable, blind, and knew he had sense enough and you could tell him he was naked, he’d try to do something about it. But when he shakes his head, and says, “I won’t have It. Who are you trying to tell me what to do? I know where I’m standing.” Now, if that ain’t a pitiful shape, I don’t know. And that’s exactly what the God of this Bible said that the church would be in, in this evil age right now, in the last church age where we’re living.

25

That word I was going to take about is ‘pitiful’. The word in the Bible is wretched; “Knowing not that you are a wretched church,” which means an object of pity. See? Exactly what It says here, just an object of pity. Why? Because grace has passed you by. Like Israel, you did not know the day of your visitation.

Now nobody can sit here tonight or in the sound of my voice or on a tape that I’m preaching and say, “Well, Brother Vayle, Israel didn’t pay a price.” They didn’t? What do you think Titus did? Where are they for two thousand years? Look what Hitler did.

Now let’s not kid ourselves, the churches were in the deal and America was in the deal as our understanding by history that we had the chance to save the Jews and didn’t do it. Was that the turning on the Jews?

Now you can whitewash Pope Pious if you want and Franklin D. Roosevelt or anybody else you want; I’m not in the habit of whitewashing.

I don’t even know if the history is one hundred percent correct, but there’s been enough evidence I’ve got to understand to show that America did not do what it should have done for the Jews. It was washed over and glossed over when one of our ambassadors or some of our legates over there, whether they were Secret Service men or you know, government employed agency or Secret Service, I don’t know, but as far as I know letters are extant.

Absolutely proven that America did nothing and the churches did nothing; in fact they might have… they might have very happily clapped their hands in glee to get rid of the filthy Kike, that’s about what they all… they’re not all that. Don’t worry; they’re not all Wall Street Jews, so just watch your step there. There’s lots of things we could tell you from having previous study but it’s all right. We won’t bother. We just want to know these things.

26

Judgment has passed by; they’re objects of pity.

[47]  Notice, [he said] but to the peoples… [Now then, he said, “Now, you are wretched, miserable, naked, blind, although you think you’re rich and everything else.”]… to the people, [he said, Jesus speaking,] “As many as I love, I rebuke [and chasten].” Now, if you’re rebuked of the Lord, of what you’re doing, come out of it then! Get away from it. “As many as I love, I rebuke.”

27

Well, let’s go to… we better read Revelation 3:19 to get the whole picture because this is what Brother Branham… what his message is all about.

Revelation 3:19

(19) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

So what’s he knocking at the door for? To get your attention, to change your mind. Now what are you coming out of? Revelation 18.

28

Well, let’s go to Revelation 18, all right, just about had it, went by it, get it the second time. Okay, let’s start reading 1st verse of 18.

Revelation 18:1-2

(01) And after these things I saw another [messenger] come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

(02) And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

That’s devil possession. Brother Branham said, “The Roman Catholic Church is the highest form of spiritism in all the world. They pray to the saints.”

Revelation 18:3

(03) For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. [All right.]

Whose money is it that performs the commerce of the world, seventy percent? America. Who made the image of the beast? America. Will the pope come out of America? Yes, a pope will come out of America. Who will it be? I don’t know. We have some spellbinders right now.

Bishop Sheen, Cardinal Cushing, Spellman, or they thought even Cook was maybe it, or what about Bernardin. He could come the closest. I don’t know that he is. I’ve got no right to say so.

But Brother Branham said, by prophecy, a pope will come out of America. I think he said that in ’55 or ’56, I guess, maybe ’54, somewhere in there. Way back. He said by prophecy. This is the book of prophecy. All right.

29

Let’s keep reading. Now, he said in here, remember now, this image that we built that puts the churches at the head of governments, we’ll talk about that a little later on, maybe tonight or next night… now it’s going to be brought down. They wax rich through the abundance of her delicacies. Oh, she’s got the answers.

Revelation 18:4

(04) And I heard another voice [in] heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Okay. The Voice says, “Come out of her.” Now the coming out is fine but you can come out and still be out of Christ. If you’re not one with the Word, where are you? Because He said, “Repent.” Now remember, the first cry at Pentecost was “Repent!” which is “change your mind.” There’s something wrong with your mind.

Now remember, the mind and the spirit are not one in the sense that they are only one, mind is spirit, that’s not so. They are one in their working together. So how are you going to reach your spirit? How are you going to reach your soul? You can’t do it outside of the mind.

30

Now if you’re Edgar Casey you could take a book, open it and put it over your chest and go to sleep and know the whole book tomorrow morning. So much for Edgar Casey; he had a devil, not God.

You know, so many people they believe just because they said it it’s got to be right. It ain’t so. Poor Edgar, he’d put you in a trance and tell you things that were right, you know, about your body physically. Tell you what to do about it, how to take treatments and so and so.

So one guy said, “Well, have you ever talked about the hereafter? Is there something out there we don’t know?” Well, Edgar didn’t want to do that, so the guy didn’t trick him but he said, “Why don’t we just talk to him because he speaks through you.”

So when Edgar Casey came up with, with, you know, the… what’s that word? Not the transmigration of souls but the other one. Well, anyway, I’ll get it a little later on. At least I hope I do, might be too big of a blank, anyway, because he said it and he had been a professing a Christian and Jesus Christ, he had to speak. He was right because he said it.

And I don’t care what talks through you, you better go back to the Bible, and the Bible would condemn Edgar Casey for what came out of him. See? So you got to get your spirit, your soul; you’ve got to come by the mind.

You know you should put a book here or some mystical thing or some feeling or something else; you’ve got to study to show yourself approved; you’ve got to read the Scriptures for in them…”I am here,” said Christ. “You’re looking for Me, and I’m not what you think I am; I’m Eternal Life.”

Now you’re looking for that Eternal Life in the wrong way through the wrong source, I mean not the wrong source, but the right source misinterpreted. Now, he said, “You better listen when the true interpretation comes.” So, all right.

31

This church is wretched, an object of pity because God cannot get to their minds; they won’t listen. Now remember, what he said about the little punch hole in your ear here. If you’ve been in bondage to a master and fifty years when Jubilee sounds you can get free.

Now if you don’t want to get free and say, “Well, I’m doing good here. He’s good to my wife and kids, and,” he said, “everything that he’s got I, you know, can use and I’m not much of a businessman. He’s just a great fellow and he’s as good as his word,” he said. “I’ll just stay with him.” So he goes to the door and puts his ear to the door.

“Behold, I stand at the door,” and instead of Christ then giving you grace to come, giving you grace and giving you the Word, you stay with the denominations, a hole is punched in your ear, and you’ll never hear again because you’re in slavery to what you listen to.

Remember, this is not like a woman’s earring that you go to a doctor and get a little scraping, you know, we’re over, not like that; it’s a permanent thing because you’ve done, you… this is the end time, brother/sister. Now we’re a little while getting to the Rapture but so what, you know?

“As many as I love,” he said, “I rebuke.”

32

Now let’s go to the Book of Ephesians here, the 4th chapter, and let’s just take a look at this bit here about this blindness and this blindness of the… that comes at the end time. 4th chapter, this is where our time is going to go tonight, reading Scriptures.

Ephesians 4:1-6

(01) …therefore [I], the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that [you] walk worthy of the [calling] wherewith ye are called,

(02) With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; [Bearing and forbearing, see. In other words, there’s times you’ve got to say no.]… forbearing one another in love;

(03) Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

(04) There is one body, [Now, notice the one.] and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

(05) One Lord, one faith, [one revelation] one baptism, [of the Holy Ghost]

(06) One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Everything is in one. Everything runs in continuity, so there is one Word, there’s one Christ in the Word, there’s one prophetic theme of events coming right up until we meet Him in the sky and then of course, it’s finished for us there. We’ll come back and fulfill the others in a different form and shape. Okay.

Ephesians 4:7-13

(07) But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

(08) Wherefore he [said], When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

(09) (Now… he [that] ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

(10) He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

(11) And he gave some, apostles; some, prophets; some, evangelists; some, pastors and [some] teachers;

(12) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: [It’s making the body come up.]

(13) Till we all come in the unity of the faith,

33

Notice, unity of the faith; there’ll be a group that has original revelation. See? Now where does revelation come from? God! So you have a unity with the revelation of God that God has Himself about Himself and His Word. Now you talk about being lifted up by grace by the spirit of God, a human vessel; this is it. See?

Ephesians 4:13

(13) Till we… come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

That’s right at the top of the Church, because out of the head is poured down everything and when Headship comes up through the body, it’s right at the very top and there He is again: Alpha is Omega.

Right back to the Pillar of Fire, and there He is, the Pillar of Fire in Pentecost baptized into the body and here at the end time… you know, it went to Paul to give the Word, and now at the end time the same Pillar of Fire baptizing people, revealing the Word to an end time prophet. Right back to Pentecost.

People think back to Pentecost is 1906, forget it. And it’s not the upper room and the street scene below; you go beyond that; you go back to God.

You go back to God proving Himself that He is doing what He said so many, forty days after… ten days; it was fifty days after his Resurrection. Forty days with him and ten days later.

Let’s go back to Bible Pentecost, not some denomination or something that is even a historical account, even though it might be good.

34

Now he says here,

Ephesians 4:15-16

(15) …grow up into him… even Christ:

(16) From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, [What measure did we get at the end time? The last part, the correction, and the filling in. Which makes what? The full measure, sure.] maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

In other words, every age had a portion of love. Everything must be done in love, but at the end time God who is love is here Himself.

Ephesians 4:17-18

(17) This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of [the] mind, [That’s the point I want to get to.]

(18) Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

Now this is said to the Ephesian church before she fell. Now Brother Branham said there’s got to be another Ephesus that gets us back to before she fell. It’s Alpha and Omega.

So there’s only one real church and that’s the Ephesian church. And you know we’re part of it? I don’t care if we’re in the Laodicean age, that doesn’t mean a thing; we’re Ephesian.

35

Now what does he say at the time of the fullness? He’s telling the people, “Listen, don’t walk as Gentiles because all they’ve got is vanity of the mind.”

Now remember, what is there? There’s Jew, Gentile, church of God, three groups of people. So you don’t walk as a Jew. You don’t walk as a Gentile. You’re Church of God, Bride of Christ. You will not think as the world thinks.

Now hold that in mind when Brother Branham talks about the prophets, how their lifestyles, their values are so different from the hour in which they live. Our values and our lifestyles are not like today.

That’s the women going around with their long hair; they’ve got their spare tire if it’s done up in a bun, and they look goofy to the world. The Christians so-called will come along and say, “What’s that got to do with it?” Everything.

Sorry about that but that’s just the way it goes. And men won’t do what they’re not supposed to do. Now see the mind is not darkened at this point. The light has risen in the West and it sinks in the West.

Remember before the sun can sink in the West it’s got to rise in the West, it comes from the East. You don’t see the sun over there in Palestine. You’ve got to wait till it gets West. See?

Ephesians 4:18

(18) Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

Now he said it back there; he’s got to say it again today because it was under Headship at that time, now it’s come back to Headship.

Brother Branham categorically says, “The Church is back to Headship.” Then if you’re back to something you were away from it. When he said, “The entire Holy Spirit visits the Church,” then a visit is a visit.

I’m not being critical of people; see, I’ve kept my tongue. I just pointed out things here.

36

Now listen!

Ephesians 4:17

(17) This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, [God is speaking through him and He’s in Christ.] that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, [Because you’re no longer a Gentile; you’re church of Christ, church of God.] in the vanity of their mind,

Now remember, mind and the spirit go together. And what kind of a spirit do they have before God? Haughty, rebellious, just what I read in Ezekiel. High-minded, traitors, having their understanding darkened, no understanding.

What did John the Baptist come to do? Give understanding! What did William Branham come to do? Give understanding! Where do you get understanding? In your mind: you’ve got to open your mind.

That’s why he says, “Search the Scripture and see.” Open your minds. Go look for It.

Ephesians 4:18-19

(18) …being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

(19) Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

That’s your rich church: greedy for souls, greedy for everything. They’ve got a work program to put a bunch of mules to shame.

Ephesians 4:20-21

(20) But [you] have not so learned Christ;

(21) If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

Now Paul is speaking, so when they heard Paul, they heard Christ. Of course, you can switch this around in the Greek and make it say something else but I don’t like to do that.

I like to bring it and lay it on the table here like Brother Branham did. When you heard William Branham, you heard God, because God uses the voice. He said He would. Then why disbelieve Him?

Ephesians 4:22-24

(22) That ye put off… former [behavior of] the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; [That’s pleasures, and so on.]

(23) And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

(24) And… put [ye] on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Now remember, righteousness is of God and the acts will be according to the Scripture if you’re a righteous person.

Ephesians 4:25

(25) Wherefore [put] away lying… [And so on. Now he says in here, after deceitful lusts, that’s pleasures.]

37

Let’s go to 2 Thessalonians 2 and take a look at that.

2 Thessalonians 2:10

(10) And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Now It tells you at the end time of deception the truth is there; there are two vines and they’re mature; they’re ready for the reaping. So then God must send all His truth when the devil sends all his deception. And what’s the devil’s deception? Ninety nine percent true.

Brother Branham said, “The biggest lie ever told was ninety nine percent true.” So where does that… well, how do we stack our lives up on that? I just had to put that in because I think it’s time for soul searching and going on with God.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-11

(10) …love of the truth… they might be saved.

(11) …for this cause God [will bring a] strong delusion,

Now then, what is it? They turned down the truth first and then they’re deluded. They think we’re deluded for believing a truth and they’re deluded not believing the truth and now they get the real delusions. Then after it’s over you try to tell them anything.

This is when the squeeze come down; the Bride had better be out of here, though she won’t be out of It in the first part of it according to Brother Branham. You can see why. Now:

2 Thessalonians 2:12

(12) That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

38

What’s unrighteousness? What Cain did! A false worship based upon a false revelation. Now why did the Protestants get killed by the Catholics? Sixty-eight million just according to one book, because the Protestants protested error but the Catholic Church has always been protested: they’ve always had saints rise up, always protested the church; that was the Dark Ages.

Then Luther came. What was it? Light! Luther didn’t do anything. “The just shall live by faith.” You tell me here there’s a free sandwich. What are you doing about it? It’s a free sandwich!

Now according to Freedman being true there’s no such thing as a free sandwich; somebody’s got to work for it. There’s no such thing as free salvation; Jesus worked for it but it’s free to you because somebody paid for it. It’s free.

You don’t have to work anymore. See, it’s all over. You’ve got your sandwich free. Yes sir, full of the meat of God. See? The bread of Christ on both sides: Holy Spirit food on the inside. You can’t beat it. People don’t like fresh manna but I think they’re wrong.

2 Thessalonians 2:12

(12) …they all might be [condemned] who believed not the truth, but [they] had pleasure in unrighteousness.

That’s where they took their joy in the Lord in; Israel did the same thing. So where else am I going to take you tonight? All right.

39

I’m going to take you to Ephesians 1, oops, went too far, I beg your pardon. Ephesians 1 and we’ll go back to where I like to read from, where Paul says here,

Ephesians 1:17

(17) That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, [now they’re full of the Holy Ghost] may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Now Brother Branham could not come to a people outside of the sovereign grace of God and outside of a sovereign people, but they’re sovereignly brought in by the sovereign grace of God. Now:

Ephesians 1:18

(18) The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;… [we] know… the hope of his calling,… the riches of [his] glory of [the] inheritance in [his] saints, [and after that comes the Resurrection.]

Now at this time the church goes blind and Paul makes the warning, “Don’t you try to walk in any revelation you’ve got or mix it with this.” Now that’s very easily done. I’m guilty in part of reading books and sort of drifts in; I got to catch myself.

Then as I go along, I’ll correct every single thing I know I’ve ever said over a pulpit that just might be a little tiny bit off and yet it could be very accurate, but not something the prophet said. You’ve got to watch everything because we don’t want to add or take from it because there’s where the great danger is.

40

Now, he said, Brother Branham says:

[47]  Notice…“As many as I love, I rebuke.” Now, if you’re rebuked of the Lord, of what you’re doing, come out of it then! Get away from it. “As many as I love, I rebuke.” [and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.]

Let your zeal be in the changing of your mind because the transforming of the mind is where you’re going to make it. If the mind is not transformed, in other words, if the mind is not fed with food which transforms it and you’re living on the food out here of the world, you’ll get nowhere, you’re finished.

That’s why Peter said it had to be a prophet. We’ll go into that, not tonight, I don’t think. I don’t think my notes indicate that. How much do we got on the tape left? About twenty minutes? Maximum twenty, so maybe twenty-five. All right.

41

Let’s read on.

[48]  Now, seeing God, now, what if those Pharisees would have said, “Wait a minute. That Man’s just give us quite a challenge, He said, ‘Search the Scriptures, for in Them you think you have Eternal Life; They testify of Me.’ It’s better that I look back in the Scriptures and find out what He’s supposed to do, Who He is, what’s supposed to take place. I should look back and find out, [shouldn’t I]”? Instead of that, they went to the priests and… said, “What about It?” See the difference? They should have been reading the Word.

In other words, a good Bible student can sweep you off your feet anytime if you don’t have a correct revelation and just stand with it instead of trying to compete with him.

A certain man I knew years ago, this is a long, long time ago, a preacher in California, at least he used to preach, or his brother preached, rather, this man had made a lot of money, got up in the interior and he let a Seventh Day Adventist come around him and he got, the Seventh Day Adventist encouraged him and he convinced him he should worship on Saturday.

There’s nothing in the Bible for Saturday. In fact, if God was so picky as to pick a certain day and, according to the calendar, who’s right?

Paul just blanked the whole thing out by saying some take a special day but he said that’s not the Word; he said every day is proper before God and if the seal was put on the first day of the week when they came together.

They can say what they want, do what they want, but they came together. All right.

42

Now:

[48]  They should have been reading the Word.

To repeat: the Bible is the book to read. We are not a ‘Book of the Month Club’, but we are living Word Bride, so therefore, our food is spiritual Word of the hour. Now listen!…

[49]  In Hebrews 1:1, the Bible said, “God, in sundry times,” that’s, “old times and in divers manners wrote the Bible by the prophets.” Now notice, He wrote the Bible by His Own chosen way. See? Now, He didn’t have to write It that way, neither did He have to save man by Blood. He didn’t have to preach the Gospel by a man; He could let the sun or the moon or the stars preach the Gospel, He could have let the winds hum the Gospel. But He chose man! And He chose the way His Word came, and that was by His prophets which were predestinated and foreordained, being a part of God’s Word,

[Okay,… I don’t need it. Jeremiah, thank you.]

43

Jeremiah 1, I’m almost sure it is; now,

Jeremiah 1:4-5

(04) …the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

(05) Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto [all] the nations.

All right, before the children are born, Jacob and Esau; He loved Jacob and hated Esau. You do what you want with it but that’s the Word of Almighty God. All right.

44

Now:

[49]  …being a part of God’s Word…

Now people stumble at that, the prophet being a part of God’s Word. Well, why would he not be? We believe creation is a part of God’s Word; let there be trees, let there be animals, let there be this, let there be that.

Why, don’t you think the prophet ranks higher than that? Why, we are the very attributes of God ourself; we are in the mind of God.

This out here is merely dedicated to man; this was not in the original mind of God as was man in the original mind of God pertaining to the eminence and preeminence.

Man is what’s in the image of God. Man is the pre-emanate one, all else comes around him, then man comes around God, because if he’s going to reflect God, which he does, he’ll reflect worship because God is to be worshipped and to be correct in good worship.

45

Now:

[49]  … being a part of God’s Word, declaring the revelation of His Word to that age and that time. (So therefore, what is he? He’s the living Word of God manifested at that hour, the prophet is. Now,) “For the Word of God came to the prophets only.” Never does It come to a theologian.

Why? Because the theologian only messes up what the prophet said. Why, if that’s not so why are all the squabbles going on? Why don’t the Methodists go with the Baptists? The Baptists go with the Presbyterians? Why did the Wesleyans break away from the Lutherans? The Lutherans from the Catholics?

The Pentecostals from the Wesleyans? And the Holiness people, to become a group of their own. Why have we broken away? Because man isn’t sufficient; he hasn’t got any answers and there’s nothing he’s… he’s got to prove he’s got the answers unless you’re a prophet of God.

[49]  Show me the Scripture. [Can’t do it. No theologian gets the Word.] It only comes to prophets. God cannot lie.

You say, “Well, I think a theologian can get it.” Not the Word of God; it comes to a prophet and by a prophet. That’s what the Bible teaches, so you’ve got to stay with that.

Not saying that a theologian cannot get some things right, and he’s bound to get some things right in the hour in which he lives if he’s really born again, but if he’s not in the, the age down the road, the other hour, see, he can’t get it because it’s not for that hour.

46

That’s why Larkin was so good at what he said but Larkin could not get what is true. Brother Ray Bingham got a letter from a man, oh, many, many years ago now, and this man said, “Well,” he said, “I see nothing in William Branham,” he said. “He just quotes Larkin.”

So I… he thought, you know, that maybe Ray and I were just a couple of stoops. Well, we are but, you know, we’re not that stupid. So I have Larkin’s books, in fact I’ve got less than Ray.

Now he doesn’t say a thing about the Fifth Seal. So he’s not quoting Larkin. Larkin didn’t have the answers, but Larkin had insight, and Brother Branham went along a lot with what Larkin said about the soul and spirit and all those things. It’s not that those men do not have insight from the Word of Almighty God.

In fact, if you look up the parable on the rich man in hell and you’ll see that that man had a memory; the soul had a memory in it and it had sorrow and it had love, it had respect, it had a lot of things in that man who was over on the other side, according to the parable.

So if you’re good, you’ve got an astute mind or you’ve got a mind, never mind an astute mind, you’ve got a mind that’s dedicated to God.

You know, you take your blinders off and just wait before the Lord and say, “Lord, there’s some things in here that maybe You could tell me about.” And no doubt those men would get many things but the Word does not come to them.

47

The literal Word does come to every prophet, Word prophet, I’m talking now of Logos, then comes the revelation. See? Now when we got a revelation, like Brother Branham he said the preachers break it down and tell the people.

Well, we’ve got an open door to say what he said and look up Scripture and amplify it for the good of the people.

Say, what does it mean over here? How can the prophet say this and say that? Well, you’ve got your preachers to help you and I do hope they do help you. I can’t say too much of myself because there’s a lot of things I don’t know but what I do know I try to help the people with. All right.

[49]  Never… comes to a theologian. Show me the Scripture. It comes only to prophets. God cannot lie. So God wrote the Bible by His chosen method, and His Own chosen prophets; not the prophets that men choose, but the prophets that God had chose.

48

And that’s true. Look at the king, he had four hundred prophets that he chose and, man, they all prophesied right down the line together. Oh, it was a very happy day ‘til Micaiah came by.

Micaiah said, “I think the wind is blowing from the east and I’m standing in the west and I don’t like what I smell.” He didn’t like it. See? The foul breath of man can never compare to the sweet breath of Almighty God.

All prophets are not Word prophets, and all are not of God, of course, you’ve got false prophets and they’re mighty anointed, too. All right.

[50]  Then its believers [that’s the Bible believers] watch for the fulfillment of what their prophet said, and that’s identification that they are God’s prophets.

[Now what’s the identification? Well, Deuteronomy 18, the prophet comes in the Name of the Lord, THUS SAITH THE LORD, the thing comes to pass; you listen to him and you fear him.] Because, first, they’re inspired. Next, they say exactly with the Word of the hour. Then that’s his credentials. See, we went through that last Sunday.

[That’s when he preached False Anointed in July 25th of ’65, see, or July 6th, I guess, no, July 25th. Yeah, the 25th, I’m sure it was.] Then that’s his credentials. See, we went through that last Sunday. Many false prophets will arise. And we’ll give the illustrations of how that Balaam and Moses, both of them anointed with the same Spirit, and one of them said, “We’re all one. Let’s come join…” [and so on.]

49

I want to look into this here. Now, first of all, he said, “Then its believers watch for the fulfillment of what their prophet said.” That’s seeing, something catches your eye, something is there that you’ve got to look for.

Now remember, in its simplicity, when Jesus gave the sign of the Messiah, which was merely a simple discernment, the Elect caught it and the others blasphemed it or some ignored it, just passed it on. All right.

Then, “Next” [watch!] “they say exactly with the Word of the hour. Then the Word is believed that the prophet preaches and that Word is the Scripture of the hour because God does not catch your attention for that which is behind you or in front of you, that is down the road, because Paul uses the Scripture the same as Peter does when he said, “The present truth, that which is under scrutiny,” and then let’s see now.

I want the one in Philippians where Paul… I got it here.

Philippians 3:10-13

(10) That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

(11) If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

(12) Not as though I had already attained, either were… perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

(13) Brethren, I count… myself [not] to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

50

Now, he’s looking what is behind as an Israelite condemned under the Law and looking ahead now to the First Resurrection. All right, now, we’re in the same position.

Now he couldn’t make the First Resurrection, because he didn’t know Christ in the power of the Resurrection; he only wanted to know Him, whereas in the case of Brother Branham, he did know Christ in the power of His Resurrection, because He was doing now, raised from the dead by the Holy Spirit what He did back there in flesh.

Now, we’re not talking about the Book of Acts and what transpired for two thousand years; we’re talking about parallel identical ministries: Christ in the flesh, Christ in Spirit. That’s Matthew 4 and Matthew 12. So keep your wires uncrossed, brother/sister. Don’t get carried away with Hebrews 13:8 and put it in wrong places.

Now Hebrews 13:8 does go through Mark 16 but Mark 16 is peripheral to Hebrews 13:8 because on one side Brother Branham said, “Oh, you Baptists that don’t believe in healing, you’re condemned, and you Pentecosts, because you got healing, you think you’re going to make it.” Hogwash!

Well, come on, the Baptists are condemned for not having a dollar and the Pentecosts are condemned because they do have a dollar. Well, come on, doesn’t make… that’s not brains. I don’t care if a prophet does say it; he’s not saying that.

He put Hebrews 13:8 always with Genesis; Abraham and God before the tent door. Right down here in his ministry and he said he can’t change so the sign of the Messiah is very simple.

And the whole form of God in the gospel is simplistic; complex to the unregenerate mind but the simple to the regenerate mind. That’s why the regenerate mind can feed on these things. Now, where were we? Okay.

[50]  Then its believers watch for the fulfillment of what their prophet said, and that’s identification… that they are God’s prophets. Because, first, they’re inspired. Next, they say exactly with the Word of the hour. Then that’s his credentials. [Okay.]

51

Now just look at that: how many Scripture did John quote as a witness to himself? Outside of Malachi and Isaiah, not very many. Okay. But people want a whole biography if not a bibliography today, but if William Branham came on the scene, people said, “Where’s William Branham’s name in the Bible?”

I’d say, “Where’s John the Baptist’s?”

“Well,” they say, “just a minute, John the Baptist had Zechariah prophesy.”

Well, God did one better; he had the Mormon Church prophesy, called him by name. He let the Pentecostals prophesy, calling William Branham by name, the exact spelling of it, said the same thing. Well, the devil said the same thing and others said the same thing but it took Jesus to confirm it.

Now John the Baptist only said a couple of things. Why did they want William Branham then to write a book about his pedigree? We don’t go by pedigree. See?

52

Now, he said here, Balaam and Moses, they are illustrations of the anointing where one is true and one is false. One said, “We’re all one.” Why did he say they were all one? Because he was not a Word prophet: he wasn’t like Micaiah.

Old Ahab said, “Micaiah,” he said, “say what the four hundred say.”

Well, he said, “No, I can’t do that. I’ve got to say what God says.”

See? So what did he do? He went away from the group and said, “I’ve got to seek God out and find out what God’s going to do about this man, about this situation.”

He knew what Elijah said: “Ahab’s blood has got to be licked up by the dogs.” Said, “Jezebel’s eaten up by the dogs.” He knew that, but he knew that Ahab repented in certain seasons and God said, “Well, he’s walking softly; we’ll just put it off.”

So he had to go to God and find out and he did. See? Only true prophets can reveal the Word. I don’t care what it is. Now then Micaiah had a word: Ahab’s got to die.

“Well, is this the hour? I don’t know. What am I going to do? Well, I’m going to go and find out what God says.” It takes a prophet. Okay.

53

Let’s go to 2 Peter 1, all right, talk about the transfiguration of Christ on the mountain, the great day coming, stature of a perfect man, building right up to it. Now notice.

2 Peter 1:18-21

(18) And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

(19) We have also a more sure word of prophecy; [a word of prophecy made more sure] whereunto ye do well… [to] take heed, as unto a light that [shines] in a dark place, [Notice, end time light.] until the day dawn, [Until we get there.] and the day star arise in your hearts: [Revealed Word, you in the Word, the Word in you, just coming along.]

(20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. [Now he’s telling Brother Branham said.]

(21) For the prophecy came not [of] old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Revelation should come the same way. It simply floods out. The prophet doesn’t know what he’s going to say. What about this Scripture, Brother Branham? He’s not going to give you his own words.

He’ll tell you if he does, like Paul, “I’m given permission, I’m allowed, I think this…” but watch him go down the line on those words. The cardinal Scripture, the cardinal doctrines: it takes the prophet.

[50]  “We’re all one. Let’s come join, put our girls all together. We got pretty girls over here, and you’ve got fine boys come over here and take you a nice wife. That’s all right, we’re all one people, anyhow, the same race.” God never did forgive them for it. They listened to that.

54

Now this could refer to the Protestants and Roman Catholics coming together under the Trinity baptism. Now watch carefully. Neo-Pentecostals, that’s Catholics which speak in tongues, bridge the gap from the oldest harlot to the youngest harlot. That’s a nasty trite saying isn’t it?

Alpha and Omega coming up again: “Though I speak with the tongue of men and angels and have not love,” let those speak one at a time, three at the most in a service. Let the prophets judge. They dropped all that way back there; they were already into the mess.

The Corinthian church was messed up from the beginning. There’s your original. There’s your Pentecostal of 1906. There’s a repeat. What bridges the gap? Tongues right today.

Who accepted tongues? Pope John. I’m not sure that the 23rd was the one that did it or the one before him but I think Pope John accepted. His sister, I think, being a nun spoke in tongues; she was Pentecostal and the church today, the present pope, believes in tongues and what have you. They cannot reject; they’ve come together.

Pentecostals and all of them; it was David du Plessis who brought this on, not panning the man, just saying what is true, I know he’s honored by statements like that but he’s the one that did it, but many men are fooled by the ecumenism. It’s entirely wrong.

There was one ecumenism only to be regarded; that is our joining to Him and then to each other, recognizing each other. Nothing else holds.

55

Our tape’s run out? All right. I’ll read one more little paragraph here and this is it for the day.

[51]  See, the world and the people are watching for some little outlet, some little bypass, some little shortcut, but there are no shortcuts in the Word of God. There’s one Pattern. You must cut yourself and fit the Pattern, and not try to cut the Pattern to fit you. Everybody must do that. [And] that’s the only way God has of doing it. (All right.)

The revealed Word, not just Word, it takes God to reveal It to you, not our own ideas. See, now he says here in this very message, this concludes, as far as we can go tonight.

You cannot take some bypass, some outlet, or some shortcut; God does not deal in that, see. There’s one Pattern. He has a prophet who brings the Word.

At the end time, a prophet revealing the Word, God vindicates that man. He does it the way He’s always done it.

At the end time, it is simply momentous as Brother Branham said, “He had more results or success in his ministry, in my life in Jeffersonville than he had in his own life in Nazareth.” He said, “Notice what I said, be careful.” See?

56

You’ve got to cut yourself; you’ve got to come in line. It’s not God going to come in line; it’s you come in line, because God has never been out of line. And a theologian cannot do it and a body ministry cannot do it; it is God alone.

That makes fundamentalism and latter rain completely out of the picture. It brings in God only. He’s got to do something because man cannot. And he tells you categorically, “I would destroy it all except for Elijah.” There’s your key right there.

So the Lord bless you. I took a full hour and a half on this. We’re down to… we’re at page 12 which is two pages, not quite, yeah, two pages. So we’ll continue maybe Sunday morning, the Lord leads us.

Let’s rise at this time, shall we, and bow our heads in prayer?

Heavenly Father, again we approach Thy throne of grace and mercy which it is to us at this hour still because the light has not left the earth.

The Holy Spirit in our midst has not led us out of here and indeed the Voice is not… the Shout has come but the Voice has not brought the dead out of the ground as far as we know at this particular point. We believe, Lord, it will soon happen.

Then we know, Lord, the summoning which is the Trumpet, that’s You calling us together now, it’s time to leave the earth, and You taking us up there which You will take us up to the Wedding Supper and incarnate Yourself as the prophet said, “The spirit in the midst of us will incarnate himself and He’ll be King of kings.”

We’ll crown Him King of kings and Lord of lords; He’ll be Son of David, Son of God, Son of man, Lily of the Valley, the Son, the Everlasting Father, the Rose of Sharon, the Lily of the Valley, all of those things. He will be that David upon the throne.

All of those things we know and right now we’re in the process of it and we thank You, Lord, for Your constant illumination You give us from the Word, from Your Word to the prophet who brought us Your Word in the modern day language and understanding.

Even his very nature and everything about him was exactly right, Lord, and here we are, and tonight, Father, if we’re Your people and we believe we are then we’re exactly right.

And, Father, we want to stay that way and we know we only can stay that way because Paul gave us the warning that we just stay away from all the things of the world, the flesh and the devil, the world out there particularly and particularly the interpretation of the Word of the world church.

Stay right away from all these things and stay right with the prophet with no question, no questions, just literal acceptation until light breaks upon us.

And we saying the same things that he said and our High Priest we all become one together, transformed and transfigured by the renewing of our minds, Lord, and we know that’s the great call tonight to get our minds renewed.

So help us all, Lord, tonight, bless us now as we go. May Your Spirit abide in us and upon us and all around about us; keep us, oh God, and we pray that you’ll prosper our souls, oh God, as never before until our bodies can be prosperous with it.

Without our souls prospering, Lord, we know that our bodies have no… they have a promise in there but they don’t have the proper view.

It’s as the soul prosper and then we will prosper in our bodies and then also we can even prosper financially, although we’re not interested in that except for the fact that being taken care of by You, Lord, and helping others because that’s what it’s all about because we know that we could give it all and still mean nothing without You on the scene directing and helping.

So, Father, may everything that’s come from You and coming from You be redirected back from You with love and great joy until, Father, we just set up that cyclotron of the power and grace of Almighty God and one day, Lord, in gigantic waves of love toward You and toward each other, we’re swept into the universe beyond to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

Whereas the prophet said, “All that ever loved you, and all that you ever loved are going to be there,” and I believe that and I know it’s scriptural. It’s fundamentally sound.

It’s absolutely true because that’s the way it is and we know that with those who loved the prophet believe his Word just the way he said it and enjoyed it and dined on it, feasted on it and grew as calves, Lord, just strong and fat out there marvelous husbandry of God now just waiting for glorification.

So, Father, just bless each other, we feel Your Presence tonight, we feel Your love, we feel Your love and Your grace and we just thank You for it.

We just couldn’t be happier, Lord, for Your goodness to us and now we… may we somehow praise You and show the world and show others this grace that You’ve extended to us. Thank You again for all Your help tonight, Lord, and all Your… the wonderment that You’ve given into our souls by revealing Yourself to us.

We praise Thee for it. Dismiss us. Go with us, we pray, in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Let’s sing a little song then, “Take the Name of Jesus with you” and Sunday morning then at 10:30.

The Lord richly bless you.
