Heavenly Father, we’re very grateful again to be allowed the privilege of coming together, Lord, to know that you’ve given us strength that which is required, Lord, to come here, and above all it’s the Spirit of the Lord God, which You’ve given of Yourself to us.

And we’re very grateful, Lord, for that, signifying especially that the Blood has been applied, that all that which has been accomplished through the death of Jesus Christ has now been manifested through His Resurrection right in our very midst today and we thank You therefore.

Now, Lord, we know that this is that end-time hour. We’re very grateful, Father, that we have a part in It.

May we never forget that, Lord, forget anything, but just keep humble and sincere, Lord, and true to the Word of God. Bless us in our studies tonight, we’ll be careful to give You the praise in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

[For the next 55 seconds Brother Vayle talks to the church]

All right, now in the study of ‘Events Made Clear by Prophecy’ in our studies which we have continued for some time, and we have read and commented along with ‘The Events Made Clear’, we’ve used several Messages that the prophet preached and all these Messages are definitely his own witness to God and the printed Word and to himself.

Now, that’s what you’ll notice as we study. The witness of William Branham was to Almighty God, the printed Word, and to Brother Branham himself. And then of course he brought out the inter-relationship of all of these three.

Thus, in these studies we must never lose sight of the fact that the prophet is revealing the hour in which the church is living, and he’s bringing us to an understanding of what is presently occurring. And of course what we have to know, what is beneficial to us.

The main thrust of it all is: that in an hour of such as now, God has a prophet ready as a sign to the people, and this prophet is vindicated by a sign which like a voice attracts the people, and when the sign has caught their attention, God speaks by the prophet, and then the people can be ready as judgment must come.


And to me, this is no other than 1 Thessalonians 4:16.

(16) That the Lord himself shall descend with a shout…

So, going back to roughly 1933, and that’s about where we would be at the great Appearing. Brother Branham says in:

Anointed Ones at the End Time 07-25-65

[118]  Now, I want you to know this is sure. And you that listen to this tape, you might have thought today that I was trying to say that about myself, being that I was packing this Message. I have no more to do with than nothing, no more than just a voice. And my voice, against my better judgment… I wanted to be a trapper. It’s the will of my Father that I declare to do, and determined to do. I wasn’t the One that appeared down in the river; I was only standing there when He appeared. I’m not the One that performs these things and foretells these things that happens as perfect as they are; I’m only one that’s near when He does it. I was only a voice that He used to say it. It wasn’t what I knew; it’s what I just surrendered myself to, that He spoke through. It isn’t me. It wasn’t the seventh messenger, oh, no; it was a manifestation of the Son of man.

And I think the word ‘manifestation’ there refers to the word ‘phaneroo’ which means ‘that God Himself was declared in His Own true character’. So, it was unmistakably God. It wasn’t

It wasn’t the messenger, his Message; it was the mystery that God unfolded. It’s not a man; it’s God.

[119] The messenger was not the Son of man; he was a messenger from the Son of man. The Son of man is Christ. He’s the One that you’re feeding on. You’re not feeding on a man. A man’s, words will fail, but you’re feeding on the unfailing Body-Word of the Son of man.

That means then what has come forth by the prophet appointed for this hour, will unerringly deliver the people to the conclusion, (whatever that conclusion would be) and we know it’s the Rapture. Immortality. Infallibly.


All right, let me see now:

Now, ‘The Voice of The Sign’ [03-13-64] which you have there, (and just have a little rest myself, while you’re resting.) Page 5, paragraph 35. Now, I’m going to jump around for a while.

‘The Voice of The Sign’ 03-13-64

[35]  Now, watch. God gave him a sign to prove his calling and claims, when he went down in Egypt.

Now, you notice that that the prophet here Scripturally, historically was given a sign to prove his calling and his claims when he went down to Egypt.

Now, the strange thing that everybody pretty well who’s fundamental and acquiesces to Hebrews 13:8 doesn’t believe this anymore than nothing. That is that: “He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Because if He’s the same yesterday, today and forever, He’s essentially what He always was and will be, and He never changes His mode and matter of doing things. Otherwise, He’d be a changing God.


So, the people conveniently dismiss any thought of a prophet at this hour. And thereby refusing to believe they feel they’re secure. Now, I know there’s no such thing as an ostrich that sticks his head in the sand.

Old Vilhjalmur Stefansson, famous Norwegian explorer came to our part of the country when I was about ten, eleven, twelve somewhere in that age.

I don’t think I was fourteen even, speaking in the Chautauqua tour which is an excellent feature they had in Canada, they brought it to our town and he was bringing out some of the fallacies that people have concerning certain ways that people conduct themselves in other lands.

And speaking on the Eskimo’s there were certain things that we believe, (like the… oh I forget what it is now, but anyway,) he proved that fallacy wrong, he said, “It’s like that thought (he said,) that you’ve been taught in school all your lives that the ostrich sticks his head in the sand.”

Now he said, “How ridiculous can you get. Now, he said, “Where does that ostrich live? He lives in Africa.” Now, he said, “If an ostrich stuck his head in the sand and I was a lion, I’d bite his neck off so close to his head and just not get sand in my teeth.” And he proved his point.

So, people hide their heads in the sands of their own folly which is messed up theology, and they think it’s all right, because I said so. I don’t care what you and I say brother/sister, you are all a bunch of liars sitting here and I’m one with you.

I wouldn’t trust one, you’d be a fool to trust me, and we’re talking about the salvation of God; and the Word of the Living God. It doesn’t work the way people think.

Just because we say something, or the church firmly avers or avows. God knew, God wasn’t any kind of a fool. When it came time to deliver the people even though there was a promise, He sent a prophet vindicated. Because, He knew the people had unbelief. See?

Like the question came up: He said, “Why then did Moses give a law, a bill of divorcement?”

When He said, “Because of your hardened hearts.”  [Matthew 19:7-8]

He might as well have said, “Your hard heads,” at the same time. Because, a hard heart is a hard head. You know.


Now, God gave them a sign to prove His calling and claims when He went down to Egypt. What if there would be a prophet today that came down to do something? Why people say, “We don’t need anything done.”

Why I got news for them, I need a whole lot more done even now since we’ve had a prophet. These self righteous egoist’s. I don’t know where they came from. They must have came from some church (you know) that believes in works I guess. The wrong kind.

[36]  Now, God always gives a messenger a sign and a voice of that sign. [Alright,] And the sign identifies the man if it’s written in the Scripture.

Now, he lets you know here, look, we’re not pulling something off and trying to teach us something that’s outside the Word. If the man’s in the Scripture, not calling him by name. See?

When was there any Scripture that pre-dates Moses and say, “I’m going to raise up a boy by the name of Moses?” Why, come on, the Egyptians gave him that name, ‘drawn from the water’. Maybe God has another name on the record somewhere we don’t know about.

What did his parents call him when he was born? I don’t know any records, anybody know what they called him when he was born? Except, ‘pretty baby’, or something? Fine looking boy. All we got is an Egyptian name ‘drawn out of the water’.

The only name I know that was pre-dated in Scripture, and actually foreknown outside of Jesus, was Cyrus, the Gentile, the king called Cyrus my shepherd, four hundred years before Cyrus was born. [Isaiah 44:28] Now, that ought to make you turn around and think.


Here’s these smart guys that are so spiritual trying to say, “Well, where’s William Branham in the Bible?” Well isn’t that nice? Where’s Moses in the Bible? Where’s Daniel? Where’s David? See?

There’s the Lamb’s Book of Life and they haven’t got enough savvy to understand that’s where they were in the first place. John the Baptist’s name wasn’t in there either. But his father was told to call him John.

And they said, “Well I don’t think that sounds too good, there’s nobody in our family named John.”

He said, “So what, I’m telling you what to name him.” [Luke 1:60-61]

Oh, brother/sister, I’m saying things like this just to get you know the man ain’t worth a plug nickel of himself. The lost sheep that’s gone astray is nuttier than a fruit-cake, and the Bible says he ain’t half as smart as the children of the world in their generation. [Luke 16:8]

So, how much does anybody know? Very little. What he knows is all skewered up until what he does know is wrong. Even as the prophet said, “The biggest lie in the world in ninety nine percent truth.”

And that sign identifies the man if it’s written in the Scripture.

Now, he’s laid himself wide open there. If I’m not in Scripture you don’t believe anything I’ve got. “Well, Brother Branham, where’s your name?”

Fortunately, or unfortunately, (however you want to put it,) it’s in the Lamb’s Book of Life. “And the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them which are His.” [2 Timothy 2:19]


All right, paragraph [43] on page 6.

[43]  Now, God never does [anything,] the Bible said, until first He shows it to His servants the prophets. Now, [listen,] if that’s wrong, then the rest of it’s wrong.

Now, that’s a tremendous statement right there, that ought to blow anybody’s mind that’s got an ounce of brains. It says right there: “If this is wrong, then the rest of the Bible is wrong.” You see, how you can’t add or take a Word?

He never does anything until He shows it.

Now, of course the comeback is there, “He’s already showed it.” No, He hasn’t showed it, He’s told it. Just told it. How many people are smart enough to know “a virgin shall conceive and bear a child?” [Isaiah 7:14] They didn’t know what that was all about.

Brother Branham said every girl bob… the Birdseye, which is a type of (you know) baby diapers, a loose absorbent weave. That was the best stuff back there when you used to wash diapers. We used to wash them, so we bought Birdseye, the rest of them.

Brother Branham evidently he bought it too. Said, made the booties.

You mean to say, every girl was running saying, “I’m going to be impregnated by the Holy Spirit and have a child without human relationship?” Oh, come on, they were looking for someone in the image of David. See?

How did God interpret His Own Word? Just by bringing it straight to pass. And a virgin did conceive. See? Certainly she did. She brought forth a child.


Now, He’s never does anything until He shows it. And that prophet is to be identified, that what he prophesied.

In other words, It tells you right there: if there be a prophet at that time, in the particular hour, what he’s going to be like, what his prophecy will be like, and what he says comes to pass, we find in Numbers 12:16, that’s where Moses is different from the rest.

And three times out of Khorasan [middle Persian] history, Moses, Paul and William Branham. Each time the Pillar of Fire. Each time the Logos.

Not other times. Not with Isaiah, not with Jeremiah, not with Ezekiel, not with Amos, not with Obadiah, not with Samuel, not with David, none of those. Three. Now, either the prophet told the truth or he lied. Well, he told the truth.

…what he says comes to pass, then believe it. [Okay] But if it doesn’t come to pass, then don’t believe it.

Now, that’s a sign of the Messiah from Deuteronomy 18. But remember, it doesn’t come in visions and in parables and so forth. It comes in a face to face, a conversational manner where God speaks and the prophets speaks, and God speaks and the prophets speak.

And the prophet is a phenomenally developed man with a phenomenal ability to tell it exactly as he sees it, exactly as he hears it, nobody else has got that ability. See?


Now: [paragraph] 47

The Voice Of The Sign 64-0313

[47]  Every true God-sent sign is followed by a voice.

Now, the first God-sent sign is the prophet himself. That’s to the people. The God-sent sign to the prophet is either in dreams or in visions which comes to pass through the prophet.

Whereas, like William Branham face to face. Coming down like Moses. You might not believe this but, there was a fire that burned in a bush, and the bush didn’t burn. “And I went over and a Voice spoke out of the bush, identified Himself as God.

Now, you might not believe it (he said,) but that’s the way it was.”

Now, notice here, the text is the sign and the voice. “If they won’t believe the voice of the first sign, then they’ll believe the voice of the second sign.” (Moses came down with more than one sign, remember?)

Now, the sign has a voice. And every true God-sent sign has a voice, (that’s every true prophet, every attestation, or attraction that the prophet has for the people by the miraculous power of God, that’s a voice.)

Every true God-sent sign has a voice, and that voice must speak according to the Word that’s given for that day, just exactly.

[48]  You see a sign, and the sign that the man’s doing is the same old school of thought, then you can say right then that didn’t come from God.

Now, notice how he’s bringing this out. He wants to let you know that a prophet is a vital necessity. And that vital necessity is going to be corrective. That’s why he said, “We don’t come to church for fellowship, we come for correction.”

That’s why the last Church Age says, It is one Message, and that’s ‘repent’. “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten, be zealous therefore and repent.” [Revelation 3:19]

The zeal of this hour which should be red-hot is to know that there is a different Message and a different understanding.

And that must be concomitant [happening at the same time] with redemption, or even parallel with, or even just say a part of redemption or having to do with redemption. Otherwise, why would God send anybody?


All right:

The Voice Of The Sign 64-0313

[48]  You see a sign, and the sign that the man’s doing is the same old school of thought, then you can say right then that didn’t come from God. If it keeps identifying the same old school of thought, it never did, it never has, it would be against God’s program.

[49]  It’s got to be something new. It’s got to be something that the people don’t understand; or it wouldn’t be sent. It doesn’t need to be sent, if it’s the same old school of theology.

Now then, anybody then seeing Brother Branham ministering by the power of the Holy Ghost, and drawing any other conclusion that a Message was imminent drew the wrong conclusion.

If he went away saying, “Well, that’s great, I can do this; and that’s what God wants done is a great, great power ministry that He has for the people vindicated to the world.” They’re wrong!

There’s only one conclusion a born again person can have, or even a sheep that’s astray, “What does that man got to tell us?”

Now, you say what you want, I’m a hundred percent with the Word, that you say you believe a prophet brought. Now, I’m nailing this down for you, and I’m serious.


Now: paragraph 27

[27]  Now, let’s study this thoroughly. See, signs are given to attract the attention of the people. [One place Brother Branham said, “to gain favor with the people.”] Because, when a God-sent sign is given, God is ready to speak.

Now, there you are. When a God-sent sign is given. Now, a God sent sign differs from Mark 16, study your history, all through the ages they spoke with tongues and had gifts of healing and everything else. Martin Luther is acclaimed as a prophet.

I don’t think I’ve got it written in the Bible here, I’m almost sure I haven’t. It’s in another old Bible, what’s said about Martin Luther in the history. Okay: “God is ready to speak.”

God is ready to speak when the sign is given. If it comes from heaven, it’s from God, and God is ready to speak and is trying to attract the people’s attention.

[27]  And the Word comes to His prophet, and the prophet is identified by the sign that he shows. And then He comes to the Word, and then the Word’s made manifest. That settles it.

Now, watch what he’s saying here, because this is the very thing I was reading to you in my own little sketchy notes. Let’s study this thoroughly, ‘The Voice of The Sign’, and what’s it’s all about.

God and the prophet, the printed page, and bringing all three together. And that will be into manifestation. Let’s study this thoroughly.


See, the signs are given to attract the attention of the people. Hey, what’s going on here? What is this anyway. This is something that’s unusual. Like the Pentecost said, “Bible days are here again;” ‘A Man Sent from God’. [book by Gordon Lindsay]

Listen, on judgment day if they have turned down the man that they put forward as a man sent from God, and Bible days are here again, which indicates a ministry of Christ, then brother/sister, if they haven’t listened where do they stand?

Now, not just them, what about the rest of the world? Because, this was not done in a corner. “Because when a God-sent sign is given, God is ready to speak.”

Now then, you got a choice, was this of God or was it not of God? And the same thing was in the day of Jesus, when they threw something, at Him… they threw something back at Him.

“Let me ask you a question: the baptism of John, was it of God or men?”

“Well,” they said, “if we say it was of God, you’ll say why didn’t you listen? And if we say it’s of man, then I don’t know if that’s very good or not, because you see where everybody believes John the Baptist was a prophet sent from God.” So they said, “We don’t know.”

“Well,” He said, “I don’t tell you either.” [Matthew 21:24-27] But, they’re judged for it.


Now, the thing comes up today: was William Branham of God? The next question comes, was he of man? Show me the men that could have given Brother Branham the authority to do what he did.

I told you a long time ago back in Canada… (here we go again, we’ll never get through tonight, I’m going to knock it down to an hour and we’ll go home. I’m tired already.) Back in Canada laying hands upon the sick and praying for them, seeing devils cast and everything else.

In those days I was a very tricky individual, which means, I didn’t pull my punches and I didn’t care where the chips flew. So, we had a kid come by and I understood years back by experience that when you find a rolling pain in a person’s body, it’s always the devil.

That’s why, you know, arthritis is a spirit. That poor kid could have a pain here, and the next time a pain here, where’s the pain, where’s the pain?

I used to discern in those days and I could trace those pains through the body. I had a woman come to me one time and her nephew had been healed by the power of God when I prayed, and she said, “I’d like prayer.”

And I said, “Well, very fine and dandy, sit down and I’ll pray for you.” I said, “Okay, you’ve got a stomach trouble, a heart trouble and high blood pressure.”

“That’s exactly right Reverend Vayle.”

“Well,” I said, “great (I said,) we’ll move them out one at a time.”

So, I thought I was supposed to, I came against the pain, the stomach thing (you know) was down there, then the heart, and then high blood pressure and all, went up here, I said, “Well great,” I said, “it’s all up here we’ll just cast whole thing out.”

So, I commanded the thing to go, and it went down again. “Well,” I said, “we’ll try over again.” Because I could feel and know what’s going on. It hadn’t left her.

So, we went at it the second time, cursed the thing, it went down again. I tried it the third time, it did the same thing. I said, “Well, very good, we’ll just fool this thing, we’ll start at the top and go to the bottom.”

So, I started at the top and went to the bottom, cursed the thing, went up again. I did that three times in a row. Finally I stood back, said, “My Lord, what’s going on anyway?”


Now listen, I’m telling you, this might sound strange and ridiculous in a way, it’s not ridiculous, I’m very, very sober about these things, because, this is part of my life back there. Brother Branham said I had genuine discernment, but I had some error, leave it alone. He said I had a lot of it. And I did.

In fact, back there they called me the second William Branham, which was crazier than a hoot-owl, because, it wasn’t the second, third, fourth of anything when it come to measure to him. Maybe about the tenth-thousand I might have come in there that’s good.

But anyway, I suddenly stood back and I said, “Lord, what’s going on here?”

And like a voice said, “Ask her if she’s been to a spiritist meeting?”

I said, “Sister, do you ever attend a spiritist meeting?” And she didn’t have to tell me yes, because I saw three of them right before me. Now they came like shadows.

Now, don’t ask how it’s done because I’m not interested in telling; I used to take class size like this and teach hours and hours, hours, hours, and people could do what I did after a fashion. But I could tell.

So, I called them by name and cast them out. And I knew they were gone the minute I prayed she was healed. Well those things are very peculiar.


Now, going back to Brother Branham then see, the question comes up then: (well, I’ll continue my story.) Going back to the kid I was praying for, because, I got to get back to that first, where I touched Brother Branham.

So, I was praying for this kid and I said, “I’m going to show you people something.” I said, “Isn’t it right son that you have a pain here?”

And he said, “Yes.”

I said, “Now watch, I’m going to move that pain.” And I did. I shouldn’t have done it perhaps. I said, “Where is it now?”

He said, “Here.”  That’s where it was, that’s where I told it to go. That’s where it went.

“Now,” I said, “look that’s a spirit.” And it’s got to come out of that boy, because there’s no use going to the doctor, because doctors can’t deal with spirits.

So, I prayed for the boy and the boy was healed. Well a fellow came forward and I didn’t know at that time, but I really suspected, and I was sure, because I found out later on that he was a Mormon.

And he come out and said, “I want to know by what authority you do those things.”

I said, “That’s fine, now I want to ask you a question: you want to question my authority and I can do it. I presume you have authority.”

And I said, “Can you do it?”

He said, “No!”

“Then,” I said, “what good is your authority if you can’t do it and I can do it, and I don’t have any?”

Now, nobody could really get William Branham no church, and no devil in hell and no devil out of hell. And no pope, and no prophet and nothing else. And all the colleague’s and nuns, the college or cardinals could never give William Branham authority! Where did it come from? God or the devil?

Now, make up your mind. Now you’re stuck tonight and anybody hearing this tape is stuck. And I hope it goes plumb around the world a million times and over, and heard by millions. It won’t, but it’s alright.


One question is: did the authority come from man, or did it come from God? Now, you show me anybody that can give anybody authority like William Branham had authority; or even Lee Vayle had authority, which wasn’t much.

Or, you get authority, see where you get it. You got one out of two choices, God, or devil. And let me say this, you have one out of two choices where you’re going, heaven or hell. And I better be stronger, because Hades will be cast into the lake of fire, where’s “there neither root nor branch.” [Malachi 4:1b]

Now, this is what we’re talking about tonight. The same old school.

Now, let’s face it, “not everyone that says, Lord, Lord, (or prophet, prophet) will go to the kingdom of heaven.” [Matthew 7:21] Because, there are people who made the prophet Jesus Christ, when they deliberate Jesus Christ for the sake of William Branham.

Let me tell you something: William Branham would sooner go to hell, or the lake of fire, then have his name do that to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I knew William Branham.

I don’t care what anybody else says. You can be related for all I care. It doesn’t bother me one little bit. I knew him. I knew him in a spiritual context. You can’t have a man just before he dies say, “Lee Vayle was the only minister that understood me and my Message.”

And I understood very little. Very, very little. But if I’m vehement, I’ve got a right to be vehement. See?


Let’s go a little further. Let me just go back a bit to [27].

[27]  If it comes from heaven, it’s from God,

Now, the point is then, is this something that is above the earth? Is this prophet producing something that man cannot confer over the earth; or the things under the earth; or the things in the earth; or even in the heavenlies where the devil is?

Now, this is heaven itself. I used heavenly as the atmospheres. Hope you caught that, or you’d be mixed up. If it comes from heaven… (If this is distinguishable as to the source the authority, the conferring has to be from God,) then God is ready to speak, (and whatever sign the prophet uses) is to attract the people’s attention. (To what? To the Word.)

[52]  And the Word comes to His prophet, and the prophet is identified by the sign that he shows. Then He comes to the Word, and the Word’s made manifest.

Phaneroo, I believe that word to be ‘phaneroo’ according to the Greek, though Brother Branham is no Greek student. The true character of the Word would be brought before us. This is what It is. Not what you think It is.

“The Lord descend with a shout, with the voice of the archangel.” [1 Thessalonians 4:16] Let’s understand it.  The Shout is a Message, God and the prophet. “I wasn’t the One that appeared down on the river; I was only standing there when He appeared.” (1933.)  

So, the Appearing has been going on for what? Fifty two years, preceding the Coming. You do what you want with It, I’m just telling what the Bible said, and what the prophet said. I don’t have any trouble.

…then he comes to the Word, and the Word’s made manifest. That settles it; it don’t need any interpretation; God’s already done it. See? Just as perfect as it can be.


Now, notice:

[53]  Now, notice. God gives a sign to attract the attention of the people.

Now, he tells you there, this is how God uses a prophet. The prophet is indicated in the Bible. God has him waiting at that very hour to bring It forth. God appears to the prophet somehow, and this one face to face, gives him a sign and a wonder. More than one sign and wonder.

Goes down to attract the attention. Brings the Word. He explains the Word of the hour, and It cannot be an old explanation. Cannot be. It’s got to be something that people didn’t realize. The people didn’t know.

Now, they knew the Bible. They knew the promise, but they didn’t know the conditions. And Brother Branham spoke on the conditions of the Rapture. And the Rapture conditions started in 1933, on June 11th. That’s right.

Now, you say, “I don’t think It started then.”

You can say what you want. The prophet said He Appeared in 1933, so what are you going to tell me?


You say, “Well, I believe the fact the matter is the Mighty One came down from heaven and stood upon land and sea.” Well, He already came down from heaven, He just put His foot on one place and one on the other. That’s the time He raised His hand and toward heaven and swore.

Go back to the Book of Deuteronomy chapter 32, and then you’ll find the Eternal One swears by Himself. Try reading that and see some insight for this hour or two.

I told you that this goes back to the book of Genesis. Brother Branham said so, he does. People took what he said too lightly. Let the preachers amongst us dig in and find these things. That’s what they’re supposed to do anyway. And by the grace of God they’re doing it. They’re doing a good job.


All right. Now, we go to page [8 and paragraph 57]

[57]  …now, there was a sign to attract the prophet.  

All right, a sign to attract the prophet, and the prophet a sign to attract the people. Now, that sign’s got to have a voice. What one’s that? The one that attracted the prophet.

And when that voice spoke, if it would have not been Scriptural, I don’t believe the prophet would’ve listened to it.

Now, what’s he telling you? The prophet’s got built-in radar. He knows that voice is off the Word. Come on, let’s take a look at it back over here in Revelation 1:12, John is speaking Now, he said:

Revelation 1:12

(12) … I turned to see the voice that spake with me… [To see if it was a Scriptural voice.]

Was it in the Bible? Was it in continuity with the New Testament, and the teaching of Christ, and what was going on in their hour? See, what’s going on in your hour and mine? Sodom! Plus other things.

All right, he wouldn’t listen. But, watch how the Scriptural Voice was that accompanied the sign. It proved It was God.

Now listen, for He said, “I have heard the groans of My people and I remember the promise I made to them.” Hogwash! If I was a fellow with half an ounce of unbelief in my heart and a Jew, I wouldn’t believe that. They knew that for four hundred years. What’s so hot about this?

Anybody could have come down and said, “I’ve heard the groans.”


What do you expect? Certainly, God has been hearing groans for four hundred years about. See, what I’m trying to get across to you tonight? The simplicity. People stumble at the Word of God being so simple.

“Oh,” they say, “that couldn’t be, because that’s not big enough. That’s not accomplished enough. Why God Almighty has got to get a rebus [a representation of words in the form of symbols] with His Scripture.

And the smart ones figure out the rebus, or the cube thrown into the Word. What they got, three colors? Six sides. How many pieces? I don’t know, I couldn’t make that thing work if you paid me.

Neither can the theologians, because, God’s got one Book with one color, it’s red/read. God doesn’t shift His mind to suit somebody else’s gears of His mind. Some silly little machination. [The act of scheming or plotting].

People say, “Well let’s get this great obscured thing and see if he can figure it out.” That’s the Church of Christ hogwash, “I’ll just cut the little girl and you heal her.”

What is it? What kind of a God would it have been that didn’t hear their groans? The same God said, “I’m going to take them down there, they’ll be badly and treated, I’ll get them out in four hundred years.

When the cup of the Amorites is full, each of us an knowledgeable country, Moses an knowledgeable man. They knew what was going on with the Amorites, the whole bunch of them.

They didn’t need any Morse-code, or heliographs, or even a Western telegraph, or the UPS, whatever you call it, that United Press Service and the whole bunch, radio and television, they didn’t need that. Word got around, even by camel train.


I’m trying to show you something here: in our day it was a simple little thing that William Branham did, amongst the great and mighty things that he did, and he said, “This is that sign, and here’s the voice.

And they said, “Oh, that can’t be, because you see our theologians are highly trained, and you’re just a little dumb bunny from down in Kentucky.” Fap!

I’m going to tell you something: “He takes the fool in his folly.” [Proverbs 26:5] And the Bible said, “Remember this one thing: when you pray you keep your mouth, because in your words few, because remember God’s in heaven and thou art on earth, therefore let thy words be few.” [Ecclesiastes 5:2]

And He also says, “He that doesn’t listen to My Word, I won’t listen to his prayers.” And they are going to cry for the rocks to fall on them, and everything else to help them when that fire, those things begin to happen on this earth, because they wouldn’t listen to His Voice.

The Voice of the sign, and the voice of the prophet. They wouldn’t do it.

Oh no, it’s too simple. And yet God said, “This simple little thing here.” Right, simple little thing, and it doesn’t have to figure it, it’s proven because it’s interpreted by the fact that it came to pass.

Don’t tell me God hasn’t had His phaneroo all the way through manifesting exactly Who He was in His true character. When Jesus came on the earth, He was in His true character. He’s back again in His true character. (We’ll not get finished up.)

I read you a quote down the line. I’m not going to read right now, we’ll get to it. You’ll begin to see some things here on Godhead, what have you.

[57]  See? The sign, then the Scriptural voice behind the sign…

[58]  Now, that shows exactly what I’ve just back grounded. It must be a sign from God. And if it is, there’s a Scriptural voice behind it for the promise of that day, not the same old school.

I’ll preach this until I’m red in the face and dead in the face. If we can’t get rid of our fundamental understanding of what Brother Branham taught, we don’t know what he said. I’m sorry for you. I’m sorry for us.

Come tell you why: the Seal’s corrected every error, but people don’t want to get corrected. The sheep that went astray want to get corrected. They’re happy to listen and learn. But, you’ve got your same old ideas about Jesus in the Spirit, in the flesh. You’re entirely wrong.

I don’t care what anybody says, It says, “Henceforth, now know we Him no more.” [2 Corinthians 5:16] You’re sitting here tonight, and you’re still thinking about Jesus the man, you’re entirely wrong. This is Jesus, God Jehovah, we’re talking about tonight.

“Who are you Lord?”

He said, “I’m Jesus.” [Acts 9:5]

And Paul should have said right then if he’s like you and me. “Well let’s see that body of flesh dear Sir.  Where’s those nail-prints?”

You don’t know Him that way. He came back as the Holy Ghost, the Pillar of Fire, and He’s here right now. That’s the One that Appeared. There’s His picture right there. [Brother Vayle points to the picture of the Pillar of Fire]

You say, “I don’t believe that.”

That’s what you believe, what you want to believe. I don’t care what you believe.

You say, “I just don’t think (you see) God could reduce Himself that way.”


Well, that’s your thinking. That’s your idea. Don’t worry, sin has set in like disease with the AIDS. I read an article today about the AIDS. I’m not enamored about that junk, don’t think so, but, I read an article.

And in there, they found by this… (you know) they watch the DNA, the RNA and all that kind of stuff, whatever that all amounts to.

And they found out I think it is, that it’s a certain starch that starts that thing activated and a protein it lives on, and it multiplies a thousand times faster than any other virus. That’s why (choom!) like that, it spreads.

And before next year or so, how many millions there’ll be, I don’t know. This is it  brother/sister, she’s pouring in fast. Your signs are coming in very, very, very fast. It’ll pour in from now on.

Yep, well praise God. I’m convinced that we’re at the end-time, that is to say, that the dead will soon come out of the ground. I believe that.

I believe that I might have been about a year and a half previous to it, to two, maybe two years previous on my feelings. But the feelings have deepened today where I couldn’t bet on anything. But, one thing I will bet on this, we’re closer then we think. Anything can happen.

Our money system has now beginning to go through changes. The pound is going up, they’re all going up. Mr. Volker successfully sold the farmers down the river, and pulled out the bankers, and he admits it.

So, where’s the money going? Pop-goes-the-weasel. That’s alright. “Give us this day our daily bread.” That’s all we’re supposed to have anyway. We don’t need all the clothes we’ve got and everything else. We may think we do, but we don’t. We just need Him.


Now, he said:

[58]  It must be a sign from God. And if there’s a Scriptural voice behind it for the promise of that day, not the same old school. The rabbis and things have been going through the schools of the–everything all along, the priests, and so forth. But this is something new. And it’s Scriptural. [Not like Latter Rain.]

“Oh,” they say, “we don’t need the Bible anymore, we got plumb beyond It.”

That’s right. They sure did. They’re like my turnips and carrots I used to grow for the fair. Could never get a prize. I went plumb beyond the bounds of propriety. I couldn’t qualify. I was sure mad at the guy, the judges. They’re going to get mad at the judges too, don’t do them any good.

“Oh,” they say, “we went plumb beyond that Lord, look how great we are.”

He said, “I know you did.” That shows how small you are.

It’s got to be Scriptural.

It’s a promise, and a sign to attract the prophet.

So therefore, God give a sign to the prophet, there he is, in our case hanging in the Pillar of Fire. The Word of the Lord comes to William Branham, identifying God to the prophet.

Giving him a sign to identify Himself to the people, thereby bringing the Word which identifies God and the prophet and the people. The Elect. The time of visitation, the choosing, the picking out.


Paragraph [61].

[61]  Did you notice his first sign? He had all kinds of impersonations of it. Everybody tried to throw down a serpent. If that ain’t the run of people, then I don’t know what is. See? But what kind of a voice did they have behind it? Nothing. The Egyptian voice of the world. [Yeah, one Word off is Satan’s kingdom. Prophet said so. Yeah, all right, if that’s the case then, they have their right in Egypt.] Yet, they could perform the sign, but they didn’t have a voice behind it to back it up.

In other words, they had what? Mark 16, but they did not have Hebrews 13:8. Because, Hebrews in 13:8 starts in Hebrews 1:1. And you can’t change It. The minute you do, you know that you’re off of Hebrews 13:8. You’ve left the Word of God, you’re simply anointed. It’s too bad, but that’s right.

But Moses had THUS SAITH THE LORD. And that was the difference. (Show me those people with ‘Thus saith the Lord, it won’t work. They haven’t got It.) Impersonators, went on for a long time, but finally played out.

Well, the same old tired voice is bound to play out as far as I’m concerned.

Paragraph [63.]

The Voice Of The Sign 64-03-13

[63]  Now, Jehovah is going to speak by His promised Word. He must then get this prophet ready to send down, because it’s always in His line of thinking, His line of doing every time: [See, that’s Hebrews 13:8] send His prophet with the Word, and vindicate the prophet.

[64]  [And] again, this is a promised sign. A prophet himself is a sign. The Bible said so. [That’s his very nature, style, living and everything else, what he can do.] Take the history of the Bible, study it. When you [seen a long laps of time,] and when you’ve seen a prophet appear on the scene, It was a sign of judgment.

[Now, remember that one: It was a sign of judgment. Sign of the Judge.] God was going to judge the world, or the nation, or the people–when you saw a prophet coming. I preached a sermon on that, you tape men remember it, “A True Sign Overlooked.” [That’s a prophet, see?] They always overlook it. They always have. But it was a sign of a coming judgment.

Okay, the major thrust there is a prophet comes, there’s a judgment coming. You see, that’s why He sends a prophet with the Message in order to avert judgment of the Elect.


Paragraph [70].

[70]  John the Baptist came on as a sign. He was a prophet. He was a prophet sign come on the earth. They knew when he came on, the Messiah would speak after him.

Now, we say, “Why would they know that?” Because, that’s what the Bible said. Elijah forerunning the Messiah. You got It there in Malachi and Isaiah.

It had to be, to get the elected.

Now notice, I brought out that word the other day and showed you that word ‘visitation’ to select. There it is right there. Bible says Jesus was Elected. Then we’ve got to be like Him.

[71]  What this was for is to get the elected people that’s coming out, like in the days of Noah.

[That’s right.] Like in the days of Elijah, the seven thousand that hadn’t bowed their knees, to call them out. John, calling out the elected and give it over to Christ when He came swapped his church, said, “I must decrease; He must increase, because I’m just a voice of Him crying in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord.'” Jesus came the same way: got the elected ready to hear the voice of God. That’s what the prophetic sign is. [Sure, do and to teach.]

But, you’ve got to do something that warrants the teaching. But, if anybody can do what you do, then you haven’t got a voice. The prophet’s unique.

[72]  …Now notice:

[73]  What does it do? It gets the elected ready for the shelter of God–like in Noah’s time so forth.

And what’s he telling you? Judgment is coming, and God’s going to get the people ready to get out of here. How? By a prophet. See? He’s going to gather them together.


Now, look it, I tell you what: people just don’t like it, but they don’t understand Alpha is Omega. Now, you get over here to Matthew 23:33. You all know, I’ve read this many, many times.

Matthew 23:33-35

(33) [You] serpents, [you] generation of vipers, how can [you] escape the damnation of hell?

(34) Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: some of them [you’ll] kill and crucify; and some [you’ll] scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

(35) That upon you may come all the righteous bloodshed upon the earth, [it’s that judgment] from the blood of righteous Abel [to] the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom [you] slew between the temple and altar. [Now listen: that’s on the Jews.]

Now watch: righteous Abel is in there. Then what are those Jews? Serpent seed. Now, you do what you want, but, who killed Abel? Cain, serpent seed. See? Religious, make believers.

“Under the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias…” Now they got to pay that time-slot. What does the end pick up? The blood of all the martyrs of Jesus Christ. Roman Catholic church had sixty million. That’s just a part of them. What about the souls they ordained to hell by what they did?

Matthew 23:36-37

(36) Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

(37) O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, [see, stones those] which are sent unto [you], how often would I have gathered thy children [unto thee], even as a hen [gathers] her chickens under her wings, [you] would not!


Now notice, God gathers the people unto Himself by the prophets. “Who is on the Lord’s side?” I’ll tell you is! Who’s on Moses’ side? Who’s on God’s side? On William Branham’s side?

You say, “I don’t believe that.”

Well, I don’t care what you believe. You don’t believe the Bible.

“Well,” you say, “I just think that’s another time.”

That’s just what Brother Branham said you’d say. You don’t believe what I say either. I say, “You got to read this Bible written right for this hour, because we have become Ephesians again, Ephesus again.”

I preached that for years before I knew he said it in ‘The Paradox’. Although it was in my sub-conscious without a doubt. Everything goes in there. Once you really believe the prophet these things will come.

Matthew 23:38-39

(38) Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. [That’s a judgment curse, a pronouncement.]

(39) For I say unto you, [You] shall not see me henceforth, till [you] say, Blessed is he that [comes] in the name of the Lord.

And they’re now in position to see It, because they could only come back in Palestine. He can’t come to New York. Oh, they’d have liked that. Can’t come to Hollywood. Can’t go to Montreal. He can’t go to Tel Aviv either, He goes to Jerusalem.


Okay. Judgment. All right:

The Voice Of The Sign 64-03-13

[73]  What does it do? It gets the elected ready for the shelter of God–like in Noah’s time so forth.

[73]  What does it do? It condemns the intellectual unbeliever to judgment. It always has. To spurn mercy, nothing left but judgment. (That’s Hebrews 6) So it gets the intellectual and the unbeliever ready for the judgment, because what do they do? They condemn it.

I said a while ago, “Who is this William Branham, God or the devil?” Make up your mind. Now, you can’t sit on the fence. Brother Branham, remember that, we read about that crowd, there’s three kinds of people?

They do know, they don’t know, and some wonder about it. Some say, “Well  I don’t know.” Some says, “I do know.” Some say, “I just can’t tell.”

Now, here’s where we’re really starting.

[76]  …it’s put out there for that purpose: to give light to the believer and darkness to the unbeliever. [now watch] Just as the Pillar of Fire was. [Now, It’s got to be the same yesterday, today and forever] It made light in order to cross to the promised land, and darkness to those who did not believe It.

Now, you notice right in there identifies the Pillar of Fire, you see with the people. I told you he said,  He came and God was there, and the prophet was there, the printed Word was there, and signs that were shown were to identify all three, and to show the interaction revealing the Word.

God always does that–puts out the eyes of the unbeliever, but gives sight and light of walking to the believer. That’s what It’s sent for.

[77]  If his prophecy is true… if the prophet’s prophecy is true and comes to pass, then it is the warning of God.


Now, what is a sign? It’s the voice of warning. And what if you don’t hear the warning? Then you won’t hear the instruction.

Now, in Numbers 12:6 we find the same thing, the Scripture.

What same thing? What’s happened to him? He’s talking about himself. William Branham is witnessing to God, to William Branham, to the printed Word with the complete delineation to relate all three for you and me. So, the benefit is superlative.

[78]  The Bible was written by these men. [What men? prophets.] Now, if we read in 2 Peter 1:21, It said, “Men of old, moved by the Holy Ghost, wrote the Bible.”

[79]  Hebrews 1:1, said, “Divers [ways and manners the way It was written,] where we spoke the other night, “God in sundry times and divers manners spake to the fathers through the prophets; [it was in the prophets] this last days through Jesus Christ His son.”

Which we’ll prove to you later on, we get to it, that that Son now is the present gift of God, the Holy Ghost in a Pillar of Fire. Did you hear what I said? Now, don’t just hear what I said, think it over. Alpha’s Omega. Now, if you haven’t learn much tonight, learn this:


The Voice Of The Sign 64-03-13

[131]  If America would just believe the gift that God’s given us this last days, His Son in the form of the Holy Ghost, raised from the dead, living among us according to His promise. If we’d only cherish that.

Then, that’s not the baptism with the Holy Ghost. I’m not fighting with anybody, I’m over the fighting days, and the name calling, who’s in and who’s out. Who gives a rip? And I don’t mean that lightly.

I mean I just can’t get involved anymore, because, “the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, the Lord knoweth them that are His.” [2 Timothy 2:19] But, I hit these things hard tonight, because I’m interested in you.

I’m interested in preaching and teaching, and I’ve got to answer to God. If I haven’t nailed this thing down which Brother Branham gave a commission to the preachers to nail it down. And it’s on an actual tape where he said I should break it down.

Whether I can break it down or not, it’s up to God. But, I want you to know what is being said here. See? “He gave His Son in the form of the Holy Ghost.”

In other words, He personally became Sonship, and He couldn’t be otherwise. Because, the dispensation of the Father could not start again. It was the dispensation of  Son.

And being risen from the dead, and coming back as the Holy Ghost makes It the Son of God. Brother Branham said so. The Scripture says so. That’s Romans 1.


I’ve known that for years, and years, and years, and couldn’t put It together. And I’m still trying to put It together. Let’s not pretend I put It together. But, he said, “God gave.”

Now, how could God give something, you know, really to do His Own work? Redemption has to come from God, because, there in God lay the Attribute before that… even the Light came out of God, wherein God could begin to manifest Himself.

So, we see Sonship in the form of the Holy Ghost in a Pillar of Fire. Before, it was Fatherhood over Israel with blood. I don’t understand people. It’s not my job to understand people. If I understand a little bit of the Lord, then that’s good enough.

Hebrews 1:1-2

(01) God, [in] sundry times and divers manners spake in the fathers [through] the prophets,

(02) Hath in these last days [through Jesus Christ] his Son…

Right up here, It says, “through the Son.” There, there’s no more prophets. Can’t you understand,  brother/sister, that that Person of the Holy Spirit, what is here now, was the same One that was in the prophets, because It’s identified with man is here now?


As Brother Branham said, “I am not the Son of man, the Pillar of Fire is not He, It’s in the form of the Holy Spirit,” he was telling you. Then you put Acts 8 together with Genesis 18, you begin to see something. Now, Who was standing there in human flesh? Abraham was standing there, and God.

Now, the election was with Abraham. So God brought a Message. How does God bring a Message today? Abraham predates Moses. So now you got a prophet with a Pillar of Fire. So now you got the Son of man manifested. How?

The same Holy Spirit, God, in the form of Sonship in a Pillar of Fire moving through a prophet revealing the Son of man. And doing what Elohim did, proving there’s one God, and He’s got three offices.

You say, “Just a minute, how can He be Son and Father at the same time?”

Well, I’m son and father at the same time, and also grandfather and husband. I’m bigger than God then, eh? Fap! “He that hath understanding, (let him understand.”) [Revelation 3:18] Not that I can make anything clearer, but…



[80]  The Pillar of Fire, the sign, the voice was going to speak. The Pillar of Fire in the bush was a noted voice,

Well, a noted voice. Do you think that Brother Branham meant it was a noted voice, because it was a great Voice? Sure! But, it also was a ‘noticed’ voice. A lot of guys would go right on by think that’s ‘hooky-pook’ or something.

the noted voice, of God was fixing to speak.

[81]  Notice. Clearly now, don’t miss this. When Miriam had laughed at her brother Moses, and she was a prophetess when she laughed at him.

He said, “Okay you Pentecostal’s, you got a bunch of prophets, and wise men and scholars and women preachers, hear this one.”

And God came down in that Pillar of Fire; Moses knew that God was ready to speak. (Miriam sure didn’t, but Moses did.) It was a sign. And the voice that followed it said, “Don’t you fear God?”

Don’t you fear God? What’s that got to do with it? This is old tin-can Moses here. Old tough boy that killed an Egyptian. Got scared stiff and ran away. No, listen: I don’t care what that man is, don’t you fear God? If the Voice of God is in that man you fear Him, you fear God, you listen.

“There’s none in the land like My servant, Moses.”

Who do you think Brother Branham is talking about? Himself. He tried to let the people know. People  had heart attacks and died. I tell you, you never were around Brother Branham like I was.

I’m going to tell you people something: when you were around him, and you were probing and asking questions, even though you wanted to believe, the more you asked questions, the darker the room got.

Unless you had to know it was something that you’re so sincere about and so opened to his mind to teach you.


I had two occasions, one time for four and a half hours my mind was open. And one time, (the other time) my mind was closed because of wrong teaching and believing. Suddenly, the room got dark. I knew when to quit. I quit.

A young man today I still consider very unstable, came to me one time up in Canada, stood by the car with the window rolled down, in somebody else’s car, it was just sitting there ready to go away from the meeting, asking questions, asking questions became suddenly dark, dark, dark. I knew it was time to roll the window up and get out of there. That kid could be heard.

You say, “You, Brother Vayle?”

Look, don’t be foolish brother/sister, I don’t care if the Word of God is in a tin can, It’s the Word of God. So, don’t look at Lee Vayle and say, “Nice guy, or a horrible guy.”

I might be here tonight to just throw you a loop with the way I do things and teach things. Then where are you going to be on judgment? You still haven’t heard a word.

You say, “Well Lee was such a miserable guy.”


Look at your own self, I don’t think you’re so lovely. I haven’t seen any Christ like virtue amongst any, all of us put together like Brother Branham had. And he could walk off when things got dark. Told one man, “by the grace of God I’ll never mention your name again.”

“Yet he, that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet, receives a prophet’s reward.” [Matthew 10:41]

Brother Branham just put that to one side, by saying, “That simply means you’re a friend of the prophet he’ll do you a favor.” Come, what prophet can do anybody a favor?

You need a glass of water, I can give you a glass of water. You need ten bucks? I can give you ten bucks. But, you need to get to God for an answer? Forget it, don’t ask Lee Vayle, ask the prophet.

What he really tells you, this: you’re a friend of the prophet, you’d be a friend of God. There’s a link up there. He didn’t make anything of himself. He made the thing of God.

“Don’t you fear God?” They said, “There’s none in the land like My servant, Moses.” (None like William Branham.)

[82]  [They did the same thing,] When Dathan raised up, and with Korah, the gainsaying of him, “There’s more holy men than you. You think you’re the only one of the bunch?” God had ordained Moses to that job. [Nobody else but Moses, you see, could do it. And Moses didn’t even want it. So, we don’t look to men, we look to God, let God pick whomever He wants.]

[83]  And when they wanted to get another bunch to go with them, make themselves an organization, He said, “Separate yourself from them. I’ll condemn them. I’ll consume them.” And He did. And the world got them.


Notice, he said, “the world got them.” Those who turned down the prophet, absolutely will go into the mark of the beast, or they’ll die. And there will be a few that will die, let’s face it. God will purge the church, Brother Branham said so, that’s the Bible.

Then God will purge the Jews, and God will purge the earth. And all the renegade Jews, and all the renegade Gentiles are going to get burned up at that time. Because, the Church has been gone, Bride taken, the church purged. Right? That’s right. Sure.

And when they wanted to get another bunch to go after them… He said, “Separate yourself. I’ll condemn them. (And He did. That means I’ve judged them.)


Paragraph [84].

[84]  Now, we find that’s always been God’s way. The Pillar of Fire indicates the Voice is fixing to speak. Oh, catch this. How blind can you get? You still remember Houston. [There It is, on the wall the picture] Now, there’s a Voice follows the sign.

What sign? The photograph of the supernatural manifestation. God couldn’t lie, couldn’t let people see It. Sometimes a reflection, but not It. Let a camera take It.

Now, you talk about God gaining favor with man currying favor. God humbling Himself, so He could be crucified again. There It is right there brother/sister.

Listen people: the Bible is perfect. We’re not. We haven’t got anything. I’ve got nothing to give you. If I scold you, it’s not because I want to scold you, I don’t have a thing against anybody.

It’s just I want to get you on your mental tonight, want you thinking. If I could use a sledge hammer to impress myself and you, I’d be glad to do it. But, look it, we don’t belong to those that flagellate themselves and think we’re going to get somewhere, because we cut ourselves, and bruise ourselves, and say that’s going to work for God.

Open your minds, strip off that layer of denominational hogwash that’s up there by so called fundamental teaching. It’s ‘funny-mental’. It’s not fundamental, it’s funny-mental. The funny mentalities is theirs. The word of the enemy is in there brother/sister, it’s not of God.

Now, there’s a Voice follows a sign. (Right there, see the picture.)

[85]  Moses, a prophet sign to Israel, promised the Word is ready to be vindicated. [Promised that, the Word’s ready to be vindicated.]


So, Brother Branham says the same thing about himself. He said, “That showed the Word is ready to come with further vindication.

[86]  How perfect is God’s Word in order each time, just even like the Urim Thummim as I spoke of the other night. The Urim Thummim was there, and unless that sign come on that Urim Thummim, the Voice was not recognized.

[In other words, the Urim Thummim flashed, it was God. If It didn’t flash, it wasn’t God.] There has to be a sign. The sign vindicates the Voice, [Now, listen now, the sign vindicates the Voice,] and the Voice vindication indicates the sign, that it comes from God. [Pure and simple.]

A sign to the prophet. The prophet brings a sign. They listen to the Word, lines up the Word for the hour. Infallible proof. A man says, “Well, I can’t take it.” Then you don’t believe the Bible, because the sign should make you believe the Bible. But, they didn’t believe the Bible, they went away from It.

The voice of the sign is what speaks “Yes,” or “No.” [That’s your Urim Thummim, yes or no.] If God refused it, then the Voice speaks “No.” [Turned dark] If the sign was there, God spoke “Yes.” [It was bright, see, light, brings us Light] God’s order never has changed. We could stay (on that for hours.) But [it’s] never changed.

[87]  Look. Jonah, the prophet–look at that sign. …on his road to Tarshish. Started to go to Nineveh, took a road to Tarshish. Many condemn Jonah. Jonah doesn’t deserve to be condemned. He was a prophet. “The footsteps of the righteous is ordered of the Lord.”


Now, put that one down. Disobedience. You know Brother Branham had that. I asked him why then, how come Brother Branham you didn’t go to Africa?

He said, “I wasn’t supposed to go.”

I said, “What about India?”

He said, “God knew I was going to do it.”

You know, you say, “I think the man chickened out.”

Uh, uh. People don’t understand God and His prophets.

Carnal man take that and say, “I can’t believe that.”

Well, that’s fine, don’t believe it. No problem. I know it to be a fact. What happened to Brother Branham? He got very, very sick. Got so sick, I guess he got to Spain I think it was (was it Italy? I think it’s Spain.) fell in the bathtub, I think, vomiting all over the place.

Said, “Lord, [he said] I’m such an unworthy servant just give this ministry to somebody else.” What was God doing? Same thing that He was doing to Jonah. Same thing to Moses. Let him go right into it, having told them knowing that… they wouldn’t do it, because they had to learn a lesson.


What about Moses? God said, “Moses, when you go down there let Me tell you, you’re going to bring them out with a high-hand, but, the minute that you go down with those signs and wonders, the old Pharaoh he’s going to close in on you and your boys, and it’s going to get tough.”

So, Moses goes down, trip-pati-trip, hallelujah, going to take over, one man army here blowing his bugle. That was his poor old mule there, blowing through on ear, and the other ear, and the old mule going “he-haw, he-haw,” you know, going to take over Egypt and having a great time.

And he calls all the others, throws down, wham, [his stick] turns into a little old snake. Everything going great. How we got blood, now we got this.

And Pharaoh said, “You bunch of birds, (he said) you’ll go, but (he said) you’ll go dead.” And so he puts a squeeze on them.

And they all said, “Oh Moses, you didn’t take us out of here, it’s even worse than ever.”

So, Moses goes back and said, “Oh Lord, (he said) You didn’t only not deliver us, You made it worse.”

God said, “I told you I was going to do it.” In one person. There is not one person that has not gone through this.

You say, “I don’t see and recognize Isaiah.”

Who said that you read the life of Isaiah? You read nothing about Isaiah, except a couple of Scriptures, you read what Isaiah said. But, you read little, or nothing about Isaiah. Little, or nothing about Jeremiah.

You read a whole lot more about Samuel, and nothing much what Samuel said. Because Samuel didn’t say, It was already said. But like William Branham he could discern and go to God for understanding. And he did it. See, there’s your picture.


All right:

And he started out of Tarshish, and we’ve tried to condemn the man. Jesus didn’t. [Now, let’s show you how Jesus didn’t condemn him.]

[88]  He said, “As Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, It was to be a sign, so must the Son of man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights. And a wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign. And no sign be given them from God, remember but the sign of Jonas.” What is Jonas’s sign? The sign of the resurrection.

What’s a sign of the resurrection? “If He’s the same yesterday, today and forever.” And He is here in the form of the Holy Spirit, He will now do in the form of the Holy Spirit what He did when He was here in a body of flesh. The sign of the Resurrection.

Oh, you know, people are so anxious to find something on somebody. Why don’t they just stop it? Everybody should look to himself. Right? I concur with Brother Branham absolutely. And I concur with Brother Branham all the way down the line.

And this is that Sodom generation: adulterous, spiritual adultery, committing spiritual fornications against the truth of God, making fun of it. A wicked and an adulterous generation will seek for a sign and they’ll get it. It’ll be the sign of the resurrection. (Hebrews 13:8) Look, Jonas…

[89]  Those  people were heathens, it was a great commercial city. Great industry was fish. Sent fish all over the country. The men were fishermen. That was the occupation, and they being heathens, they worshipped animals and idols, and become very wicked.

[90]  Like this nation now, full of sex and Hollywood, even in the churches. And notice what takes place. Why, sometimes even sex appeal in the church is called modern. How can this nation stand under such a thing as that? Call yourselves Christian, and act on such things as that? How can it stand?

[91]  As my good friend Jack Moore said years ago, “If God lets this nation get by with this, He’ll be obligated, as a just God, to raise up Sodom and Gomorrah, apologize to them for burning them up.

[92] You’re bound for judgment… (That’s a prophet speaking.)


“Oh,” you say, “Brother Branham just read that.”

Come on, God sends a prophet to warn of judgment. And he said, “If you’re not a judgment prophet don’t you dare try to take the place of one, you better be careful.

Certain young fellow said he was a judgment prophet; he got killed for his troubles, brains smeared across the ground, I guess I don’t know. His judgment was contrary to Brother Branham’s. His word was contrary to Brother Branham’s.

But, he’s like another man, he tried to use Brother Branham’s stick. Harold Marconda said about a certain guy, he had more regard for Jannes and Jambres, at least they used their own stick. Harold’s quite a guy.

You’re bound for judgment. There’s no other way to accept it. [There’s no other way to accept the fact of life, but there’s judgment. And you can also use that term, e-x-c, there’s nothing left except judgment.] Write it down in your Bibles.

[Now listen, watch this one] I’m getting to be an old man. You see if it doesn’t go to judgment. And if I live a normal life, I’ll see it–normal time. Another few years will turn it.

What would Brother Branham life expectancy be? Seventy? No! Seventy five? No! Past eighty. The projection of my life at this point, and I’m not the health that he was in, eighty years. Forget it! I don’t even want to see the next five. I should live this long, it’s a horrible thought.


[93]  Jonah… They were all out fishing about noontime. And here come the god of the sea. [That’s the whale, see?] The whale run up to the banks and spit the prophet out on the bank. What a sign. [See? Now, Jonah was a sign, and He’s the same sign today, see?]

[94]  God delivered His prophet with a message. [Certainly He did.] Now, they seen the sign. They believed the sign. Now, what’s the message? Repent.

Same today. Come on, there’s no different sign. “As many as I love and chasten, be zealous therefore and repent.” [Revelation 3:19] What was their zeal? Repentance. They changed their minds in a hurry. Sure.

“Repent, within forty days you’ll be consumed.” [Jonah 3:4] They knew enough to repent.

[95]  Jesus said, “They’ll condemn this generation, ’cause they repented at the preaching of Jonas. A greater than Jonas is here.”

Jesus said, “They’ll condemn this generation, because they repented at the preaching of Jonas. A greater than Jonas is here.” [Matthew 12:41]


Now, what is He talking about, William Branham or Jesus Christ? Well, he already said concerning himself, he must decrease and God must increase, so who’s increasing? And Who is here? What is the gift that is here that’s greater than Solomon? Come on!

Not discernment. Discernment is an attribute, it’s what the gift does. The gift of discernment of William Branham was nothing much, it’s The Gift, the Great Discerner is what he pointed us to, Hebrews 4:12. The Word of God, Logos. Sure.

[97]  John, the prophet, appearing–a prophet appearing sign…

Notice, a prophet appearing sign. A prophet appearing sign. What appearing? A prophet sign? No, the God sign! This is the hour of the Appearing.

…after four hundred years with no prophet… They’d had all the intellectuals. I just imagine what a mess they had.

“Theology always does that,” Brother Branham said. When he came on the scene Hillel was the great one they listened to. [Judges 12:13]

And Hillel said, that’s why the question was asked. What about marriage and divorce? Because Hillel said, “Any cause a man can divorce his wife.” Period.

He doesn’t like the way she wiggles her nose, well, he can kick her out. Anything went. It was a man’s world, which meant it was an adulterous world. You know, women don’t get into sex by themselves.

They may entice a man, which is what happened in the Garden of Eden, so therefore, women are an enticement, But it takes two to tango. So it got to the place where women were down trodden and where God didn’t want them down trodden.

Now, through the gospel of Jesus Christ they get some liberty. And what they do with it? They ruined it. Just like Eve did, coequal with Adam. She couldn’t stay in her place. Now they cut their hair, wear men’s britches, everything else.

So, they’re not feminine  anymore except our sisters. So sisters don’t come under that category. They’re not women, their ladies, that’s better see?


Okay, intellectual, they had a mess.

Four hundred years, no prophet…

What about two thousand years today? What kind of mess have we got? At least they didn’t have one… only four hundred years, we’ve got five times as long; five times worse off.

Of course, we’ve got millions of more members than they got. What have we got, five billion people in the world today and about what, seven or eight million Jews, or maybe ten million at the very most? Who knows. Now he said here:

The Voice Of The Sign 64-03-13

[97]  …but the time drew nigh that the Messiah was to come. Now, John was the sign, being a prophet, [what was the sign?] that the Messiah was ready to speak: the voice of the sign. Because in Malachi 3 we find out, “I’ll send My messenger before My face.” Elias was to come before His face. And Elias came. John, in the spirit and power of Elias, came and did exactly what the Scripture said, and they did not understand it. The Scripture said so. He was a sign, a prophet sign, that the Messiah was going to speak.

But, you know that John explained It, and Jesus vindicated It, and they turned It down. Same thing today.


You know, brother/sister, you know we’re a part of history just like these people were. And we can see ourselves in that hour. My, we ought to be a happy relieved people to know that we have not turned It down. Because, you know exactly what John did, I’ve read It time after time, after time, after time.

Luke 1:17

(17) And he shall go before [God, the Lord God of Israel] in the spirit and power of [Elijah], to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, [even] the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

That’s understanding, because disobedient means ‘ignorance’. And remember, there’s a sacrifice for ignorance if the man is truly ignorant. When Light shines, it’s over.

Bible says so, John 3:17-18 (somewhere in there) says so. Hebrews 10 says the same thing. Hebrews 6 says the same thing. You can’t duck what the Bible says. They didn’t understand.


Next paragraph:

[98]  That prophet knew Him so well until he said, “Why, there’s One standing among you now.

Did you hear what he said? “That prophet knew Him so well until he said, “Why, there’s One standing among you right now.” How well did Brother Branham know God? Listen to the words:

That Messiah speaking of is among you now. [Not in you now, but among you now.]

Look it, if I had a hundred pounds of confetti, and every single one of you put confetti in your pockets, the confetti would not be among you, in your pockets. And if I scattered the confetti it’d be among you.

The Holy Ghost doesn’t act that way anymore than the Father scatters sperm around. Listen, you know who scatters sperm around? Frogs and fish. Now, if you’re a frog and fish I can excuse you.

That was a dirty jibe, but it wasn’t meant for you people. It was just meant for anybody that needs it. Frogs leaping around. Fish, fap! Fish is slippery. There’s One among you.

[98]  …I’m not worthy to loose His shoes. He’s the One that’ll baptize with the Holy Ghost and fire. [People got it today where… I don’t know what they got.] I’m baptizing with water unto repentance. But He’ll be after me. He’s among you now.”

Now, what about today? Brother Branham said, “This is today.” He said, “Moses repeats, this repeats.” Well look it, either it repeats, or doesn’t repeat.


All right, look it here, okay now: Every year at the Calgary Stampede they have fireworks. The fireworks repeat as far as the occasions concerned. But, every year the fireworks are different. Then the truth is this: you can have manifestations without true repetition.

In other words, you can have manifestations repeating, but all different manifestations. In other words, the power’s there, the power’s there, the power’s there. But, is the same thing there? The answer is “no.” You can have Mark 16 until it’s all over. That’s not Hebrews 13:8. I want you to see a difference.

[99]  One day he saw a young Man coming walking down. He saw that Pillar of Fire in the form of a dove coming down from heaven, a voice saying, “This is My beloved Son, in Whom I’m pleased to dwell.”

Next paragraph:

[100]  John said, “I bear record that He that told me in the wilderness, not the seminary, in the wilderness, [Where did Brother Branham get his Messages?] ‘Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and remaining on, ‘Amen, “He’s the One that’ll baptize with the Holy Ghost and fire. And I bear record it’s the truth.”

[101]  What was it? That prophet was a sign that Messiah was ready to speak.


Okay. You say, “Well, I think Brother Branham was teaching here the Messiah had not spoken, but, He’s getting ready to speak. And he’ll come back in a tent.”

That could be true, but, it’s not true. Because he’s telling you what’s happened. And he said, I won’t be taken out of here until it’s time his ministry’s ended. And he said… he didn’t say in one place, “If I go, I won’t be back.”

[102]  What was the Messiah? The Messiah was the Word in full. He was the Fullness of God. The prophets was a little flickering Light. [Little bit of it, see?] But in Him was all that Light, was in this Messiah, for He was the manifested God made Emmanuel, God among us in human flesh.

[103]  Messiah was ready to speak. [Now, how is He going to do it today? God in the prophet, once more Emmanuel Prophet. See?] Notice. The Bible says that the Word of the Lord comes to the prophet.

[104]  Now, here stood John, that Jesus said “was the greatest prophet ever lived.” Jesus said so:


What’s he telling you there? If he’s like John the Baptist, what does that make him? Tremendous prophet. Why? Because he introduces the Messiah. Who’s the Messiah? “I’m Jesus that you crucified, you’re kicking.” Follow me? Acts 8, see?

[104]  …Matthew the 11th chapter, “What did you go out to see? A man shaken by every wind?” This denomination say, “I’ll give you more if you do this?” Not John. No, no. A man that can be shoved over, bluffed-out? No, he was a raw, rugged prophet. Did you go to see a man that’s all dressed up with a priesthood garment on?” He said, “No. They stay in king’s palaces. They marry the young, kiss the babies, bury the old.” That’s the kind… They don’t know nothing about a two-handed sword.

[Maybe he meant two edged sword, it wouldn’t matter, maybe takes both hands to handle it. That’s good.] “What did you go out to see? A prophet?” He said, “More than a prophet.” Course he was a messenger of the Covenant, was promised by God to send him.

He was a messenger of the Covenant to the Messenger of the Covenant. Because, Brother Branham categorically called Jesus the Messenger of the Covenant one place, and John the Baptist.

So, it has a twofold meaning. John the Baptist was a messenger of the Covenant to The Messenger of The Covenant. See? The Covenant God.

[105]  And notice, here’s John standing in the water baptizing, saying He’s coming. And here is the Word, no more in heaven, [what about that? What about now? See?]

Just take His words. Listen, he’s not talking about yesterday brother/sister, can’t you understand he’s vindicating himself?


Look at that little feeble book I wrote ‘Twentieth Century Prophet’. Oh, you know what’s behind that. He said, “See, you can say the things I couldn’t say.”

And what did I say? Why, if I wrote now, it’d have to be a six hundred page book. It’s easier to preach and tapes from his message. I haven’t got the energy to write a book.

[106]  And here He is [the Omega of the Alpha,] no more in heaven but made flesh. The Word is flesh. What does happen then? What’s the order of God’s Scriptures? The Word came to the prophet right in the wilderness, right in the pool.

Where was Brother Branham? The Ohio river, on the Indiana side. Been down there to see it? Too bad to go down there now, it’s all concrete, everything else. You can’t see it anymore, it’s a mess. Oh, the people think it’s nice, but I think it’s horrible. I couldn’t even recognize the spot. The Word came to the prophet right in the pool.

The Word came to the prophet.

[107]  John looked up; he said, “I have need to be baptized of Thee.” [bottom of page]

[112]  Jesus said, “Suffer it to be so now, for thus it is becomes us to fulfill all righteousness.”

[113]  John knew Who He was.

Do the people know who He is? Well, there He is, on the picture up there. [Brother Vayle points to the picture of the Pillar of Fire]

[113]  There’s the two leaders of the world, leaders of the [world] church, God and His prophet, standing together.


Skip down to [161].

 [116]  He went right up on the bank, and here come the Spirit of God coming down upon Him. He said, “This is My beloved Son.” See? He was presented then to the public. [Introduction.]

Brother Branham said, “The Bride must be introduced to her Mate the Word.” Revealed Word. And God is not revealing Moses’ message, or Luther’s message, or Wesley’s message, or Pentecost’s, He’s revealing now, the Message of the Messenger. Presented to the public.

But before the sacrifice could be presented, it had to be washed first. That’s the law of the Old Testament. All right.

[117]  Messiah was fixing to speak, because here was the sign of the prophet. And when they saw that prophet come on the scene after almost four hundred years without one, they knew the next voice was Messiah.


Certainly, because Messiah would be the next one if John was the forerunner.

[118]  Now, you Bible readers think right hard for a few minutes. Watch in his nature. How did they miss him? How did they miss knowing that was he, John? His nature was identified. His spirit and nature was identified to be Elijah. Now, notice what spirit. Now, he was John the Baptist, but the spirit of Elijah was upon him.

[119]  Notice. First, Elijah was a man who loved the wilderness. John was a wilderness man.

[120]  Elijah was a man that condemned that organizational system in that day with all he had. So did John. “You generation of snakes, who’s warned you to flee from the wrath? Don’t you begin to say, ‘I’ll have this, that, or the other.’ God’s able of these stones to rise children to Abraham.” See the two natures?

[121]  Look at Elijah. He condemned all them painted-faced Jezebels of his day, them immoral women. What did John do? Same thing to Herodias. Both of them, was the cause of their death.

[122]  Look at Elijah. After he’d done that great work, he’d get moody, laid out there and prayed for God to take him. (Now watch) John did the same. Even laid there, and sent His disciples over and said, “Go ask Him is He the One, or do we look for another?”


Now, you notice right in there that Brother Branham places the sunken spirit of John and himself after inspired utterances of judgment. Under the anointing you can see anything, but, once you get out of it, you’re gone, you’re dead. That’s the truth.

Any preacher knows that, that has any type of anointing that’s half way… that’s of God in a little tiny measure. See, he explains it.

But, I also get great sympathy from that great consolation myself, that Paul the apostle could have doubts, Elijah could have doubts, and John could have doubts, and William Branham could have doubts, there ain’t no problem with me having doubts. That doesn’t annul my salvation, anymore then it annuls theirs.

Even Jesus said, “If it be possible, let this cup pass,” [John 17:] and He sweat great drops of blood fighting His own urges. So, brother/sister listen, if you just stay with the Word. Don’t fuss at yourself and fuss at God, just do your best and just believe the Holy Spirit is helping you, training you right up in Christ.


All right now:

Jesus knew that.

[123]  He was Elijah. That had to be his nature. [That Jesus knew about John being Elijah you see?] He was identified exactly as Elijah was. He was in the spirit of Elijah.

[124]  It’s to come five times, that spirit is, to be used. Elijah, Elisha, John, and Malachi 4, [that’s William Branham] and then to the Jews in the last days [number five,] the spirit of Elijah.

Notice, now.

[125]  Today, I want you to look at our modern Ahab prophets today, letting their Jezebels cut their hair, paint their face, wear shorts, smoke cigarettes, anything; it’s okay. Our Ahab prophets of today, going with their schools, sure, leading them around by manmade creeds and denominations. What is it? Ahab prophets.

[126]  We need another Messiah to rise on the scene. Or in time of Ahab, Elijah come on the scene. That’s who’s promised.

[127]  Leading them around any way they want to go, if they don’t–mistreat them here somewhere, they go over and join this, and still maintain their Christian profession.

[128]  Why, they never was saved at the beginning. Their very nature proves it. Can you get grapes off of a thorn tree? Can you get watermelons from a pumpkin vines? The very nature shows they want nothing to do with the Word.


See, that’s evidence of the Holy Ghost. How you want that Word in It’s pure form if you believe the Word of the hour, then you’re baptized in the Holy Ghost. If you’re not, you’re not.

They make fun of It, and blaspheme It when It’s written, THUS SAITH THE LORD, these things are to happen. And they laugh at it and make fun of it.

[129]  No wonder Jesus said, “The queen of the south shall rise up with this generation in the last days and condemn it. For she came from the utmost parts of the earth to see a man with the gift of wisdom.” And He said, “A greater than Solomon is here.”

[Jesus the Son, the gift of God in the form of the Holy Spirit is here, Brother Branham said so.]


All right, bottom of page.

[131]  If America would just believe… [See, now listen, enough to repent.]

Jesus said, “They’ll condemn this generation, because it repented at the preaching of Jonas, a greater than Jonas is here.” The Voice was ‘repent’, or in forty days you’ll be consumed.

You take forty days when Brother Branham started his ministry in 1946, should get 1986, who knows, I don’t know? I can’t tell what’s going to happen. Something is going to happen.

All right,  Okay:

[131]  If America could only believe the gift of God. [Which, should read it again:] that God’s given us this last days, His Son, in the form of the Holy Ghost, raised from the dead, living among us according to His promise. [That’s Hebrews 13:8 right there. That spells out Godhead and offices too.]

[132]  It’ll only go to the elected. For “No man can come to Me except My Father draws him. And all the Father has given Me.” Just seed sowing, it falls, some this way, that way. But there’s seed sowing anyhow. It’ll catch its roots, wherever it is it’ll catch.


Now, he talks about seed sowing at this time, and the sower… remember Hebrews 6 is not the parable of Matthew 13. It’s end-time revelation, the bringing of the Word in Its interpreted form and sowed and Satan follows It.

See, and he tells you right here, that last day, the promise is the Son raised from the dead in the form of the Holy Ghost; Elijah, God’s His Own Prophet. The Elijah of this hour is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Not man, God, but It comes by a prophet.

You get your picture right here. That you get Acts 8, Genesis 18, the whole thing before your vision.

Now then, he tells you it’s to the Elected. What’s He doing? Sowing seed. That’s it! Sowing what? The Word. What’s It going to do? The cells of our body will form around the cells of this Word, the dynamized Word.

Let the Life that wrote this Word and brought this Word at this hour to interpret It, and manifest It to us. Let that Life be released in us, It’ll take that very printed Word and bring It forth in human flesh.

Which is, Resurrection, but, not particularly that, It’s going to be immortality. Perfection. “Because they without us cannot be made perfect.” We’re going to be changed.

So, we’re going to quit with that tonight. We’ve gone longer than I intended to go, but we’ll finish up either Sunday, the next day, I don’t know if I’ll preach Sunday or not, can’t tell. It was an effort tonight, but, anyway we got through.

It’ll go to the Elected. And so, there it is. The One in the Visitation…
