Brother Lee Vayle

Shall we pray.

Heavenly Father, we have been singing this little song which is so very true that all things are possible now that You’re here.

Of course, referring to Your Presence and those things that You said would be accomplished by the work of the Spirit in the Word and through the people.

Even what was given to us by a prophet through vindication. Lord, we know that around us there is that atmosphere that people might wonder very, very strong as to whether these things are happening. We know they are.

We know that even as Brother Branham said, that everything is just as it were under cover, working, and one day the… it will be removed, the covering, and we’ll see exactly what’s there.

And we know he spoke that concerning evil, governments and those powers which are wrong. How much more, Lord, there is something working in our behalf. Perhaps we don’t know at this minute, but we’re going to know shortly.

And we pray, Father, that these wonderful things in Your Word that have been given to us, that we’ll just believe today as never before and get our hearts and our minds right and just walk with You, Lord, in the light of Your Word and the power of the Holy Spirit, having fellowship one with another, the blood of Jesus Christ cleansing us. This is all we ask for.

In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

You may be seated.

Now we’re continuing with #5 on our studies concerning the Sisters in the Church. It’s actually a… Looking into continuously with repetition on this subject as to woman’s proper place, the proper attitudes, what is…

Seems like it’s not so much a question what is man all about, it’s so much as what women are all about. And we’re dealing on this subject carefully, and quite fully, I hope, for the one purpose, the repetition, to bring about a change in our spirits and understanding concerning this subject.

Because we have seen some things that Brother Branham said, taken to the place where it makes you embarrassed to be associated with the ministers who say they believe this message.

02

One of which points, of course, is that we find not too long ago a minister divorced his wife. I know her, she’s a lovely, lovely person. Been a faithful wife and mother. Taken all the lumps and bumps.

And then just finds whether he knew before, I don’t know, that she had an affair before she was married.

And as Brother Branham said, if that woman had an affair and she told you and she had several children by you, you could put her away.

Now I’m not going to argue that point because it’s true, but I want to ask you a question: If Eve literally had intercourse with the beast, and we know that she did, why didn’t Adam put her away?

03

Now if you want to… Now I’m not a champion of this. Now get this flat. I am dead set against any type of fooling around, you know that, but we got to remember that it’s not the unforgivable sin. And because it’s not, you don’t start to take advantage.

So you can see what we’re trying to do, is to come to the place of truth with the proper spirit.

Now Brother Branham did not actually say I would sooner have the right spirit and wrong doctrine, than the right doctrine and the right spirit.

What he said, “I’d sooner have my heart right.” As I recall the statement.

I could be wrong on that. Knowing this that if your spirit and your heart is right, truly born again, and God moving on you, you will have the right doctrine.

04

But he made a statement to Joe Coleman, Brother Branham did, and Brother Hunt. When they were in his office many years ago he brought up the question of Bishop Johnson.

Because Bishop Johnson, of course, was black the same as Hunt and Coleman. And he let them know that Bishop Johnson had the truth, but he was all wrong in how he presented it. He didn’t have any love.

So there’s… We could present the Truth here without love, and we’d run aground. Brother Branham, if you really knew him, you would never find him in a wrong attitude toward anybody.

You know, he would be very, very peculiar to me to find any person who has any degree of spirituality to be prone to lift up a drunken, no-good, womanizing bum, because he’s a man, and put down a woman who gives a bit of problems, but she’s not half as disastrous as that male.

05

So, we keep looking at this question and teaching as we do with every single thing that’s brought to our attention that we may have the right Word and the right attitudes and be right Christians, because they are inseparable.

I cannot stand up here as a minister and be harsh and cruel and say that’s God. Brother Branham categorically said if you use the Word as a club, you’re a hypocrite.

Now, I’ve been guilty of that. But as far as I know, not for a long time. I will, as you know, every now and then, lash out. But just don’t get in my way as a minister.

And I mean that. I mean, I will come out slugging and you know I will. You know I will.

06

I don’t say you quit your job and do this, I don’t interfere with how you build your house, how you run your job. I would not tolerate that with me for one second.

So, I can be harsh there, and hard, because I’m responsible to God. See? If you want it, you let me know. Then we’ll take a vote, they’ll likely carry you out and dump you at the city limits.

You say, “You talk like you got assurance.” I have assurance. You bet I have assurance, or I wouldn’t be here.

07

Now you see, I can take a rough stand there because this is not so rough as is necessary to tell that, but if I just club people with the Word, which right now I’m not clubbing you, I’m just telling you. Do what you want. That’s all.

But if I were to club you, I’d become a hypocrite. And I’m afraid that the women have taken a clubbin’ and you will notice that harsh spirit doesn’t just go to the women, those preachers be bery… become very domineering over the men so then the men that are more domineering over the women.

And that’s not what I saw in the prophet and I see in this Bible… I see in the Word of God as he taught it. If I had to believe that, then there’s something wrong with me, because I’m continually convicted that I’m not gentle enough.

08

Now I don’t know how you people feel this morning, but I’m always under conviction. I’ve got can-opener teeth and barb-wire clipping jaws.

I don’t know about you, I’ve seen you chicken out on some things you should have stood with, and I just look you in the eye, but I don’t want to hurt anybody’s feeling.

I’ve seen you chicken on principles, where blood was thicker than water… human blood. You’re wrong. Just tell you flat. So maybe my barb-wire cuttin’ mandibles might not be half as bad as your chicken.

But you see, we’ve got to come to the place of where we know the Word, stand with the Word, and do it in the firm spirit of Jesus Christ. Now it may take our heads off for it eventually. But you got to stand for it.

09

So what we’re trying to do here, is to get a real sympathetic spirit from Christ… a gentle spirit from Christ concerning what Brother Branham said based on the Word of Almighty God.

Because look, it’s the same Word. The prophet couldn’t get up here anointed by Almighty God vindication and preach something different from Paul…it’s just impossible.

And anybody that thinks that, he’s a little bit gross. See, he’s just a little bit gross, that’s all.

10

So, we’ve been… Now the last little while, two or three times now, at least two times, we’ve been looking at the question where the women are, or are not, spiritually inferior to men, and therefore more sinful.

Now that’s of course, something that you would believe that Brother Branham was saying. But I don’t find that there.

Now, if we take that to be true that women are spiritually inferior, and therefore more sinful, then we have the corollary.

In other words, this would also hold good because of that statement, men are therefore spiritually superior and thus less sinful. Because if women are less spiritual… less spiritual than what? If they’re more sinful, more sinful than what?

11

Well, you can’t compare a woman to a jaguar, you know a jackal out there or a tiger or something, you got to compare to the men. So, is she inferior to the man spiritually and more sinful?

Of course, if that were true, then of course the male then must be spiritually superior, and he would thus be less sinful.

12

Now, this is where I say, I categorically or unequivocally deny that statement as that statement is made by people, and as it is seemed to be practiced by people who say they believe this message.

To begin with, if Eve was spiritually inferior to Adam, then he was spiritually superior. And at that rate he was even more sinful than Eve for she was patently deceived while he was not deceived. He therefore deliberately sinned, but Eve did not deliberately sin.

Now if she can be judged to be a deliberate sinner, which we know she listened, and nobody hit her on the head and raped her. She was talked into it. Didn’t really know what she was doing.

So if you judge her as a deliberate sinner, how much more then must Adam be judged as a more deliberate sinner?

13

For the Bible says that Adam was not in the transgression. And the word ‘transgression’ means a stepping aside; then a further stepping aside is stepping over.

So Eve, you know, stepped aside to listen to the beast, to the blandishments of the devil in this particular beast.

And when she begin to get convinced in her mind through the senses dominating her spirit where the decision was made, and the soul, and she begin to act it out, as Brother Branham said, she got from behind the Word therefore she became capable of sin.

And we don’t know that Adam was in that particular predicament because the Bible says he was not, so therefore he deliberately moved against the human race as Dr. E. W. Kenyan said, “He committed high treason.”

14

So, in… 1 Timothy, the 2nd chapter, we’re going to look at that. Because you got to go back to the beginning and see what man was there, and you can see what man is here based on the fact that this first man was in the original creation and the woman was not.

And you know, the physical line still holds good, being, you know, descended down to you and me.

Okay, it says here:

1 Timothy 2:14

(14) [And Eve was] And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

Now, it tells you what she did, and it tells you why she did it. Because she was fooled. Adam wasn’t fooled. Now the question is here: Why was he not in the transgression?

In other words, he wasn’t seduced as was Eve because Eve was his wife. He had every right to her because God had said, “Be fruitful and multiply.”

And as Brother Branham said, they would have come to it eventually, which indeed they would have had to come to it. Let’s face it.

15

Now let’s not be children and live with the sort of ‘pie in the sky’ idea, that, you know, it could have been any other way. It could not have been any other way.

For foreknown unto God from before the foundation of the world, or the beginning, whichever way you want to put it, are His works are known. And we’ll talk about sovereignty in a minute or two if we should get to it. No.

So he had a right to her. And we saw that the other night in the Word of God, and here again I see… I just read the Bible, and I’m sorry, I don’t apologize to young children being here.

I say, “Look, you got to talk to your kids about this, and if you don’t you’re going destroy your children and stand in the judgment day if you don’t explain everything to them from far before puberty, where they get their problems, because little kids have problems before puberty.”

Some of you sitting here got an idea that doesn’t happen.

16

Well, I just so happen to know right now that my wife’s little niece was assaulted by an eight year old boy in the park. And he was fully able to have a certain type of intercourse.

So don’t sit here like a bunch of dumb bunnies, which you aren’t. I mean this is not an isolated case that just, you know… this is all over the world. And this is forty-five years ago, and so you are in a tougher spot.

So we’re looking at what we read over here in the 6th chapter of the book of Proverbs, and in the 24th to 32 verses. Read a couple of verses here.

Proverbs 6:24-32

(24) To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman. [Now this man is giving instruction here which they must have taught in their homes.]

(25) Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

(26) For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: an adulteress will hunt for the precious life.

(27) Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?

(28) Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?

(29) So he that goeth in to his neighbor’s wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.

(30) Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he’s hungry;

(31) But if he’s found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.

(32) But whoso committeth adultery with a woman…

Hasn’t got any business whatsoever doing it, because you can do without sexual intercourse and live a good, happy life, and not starve or anything else.

So this lets you know that this is a sin of luxury and complete dissipation. And you don’t have a right to it, period.

Proverbs 6:32

(32) [and you destroy your] own soul. [In other words, nothing will backfire upon the soul like this.]

17

Now in the 7th chapter in the same book, 21-23, it tells you about this young man that’s enticed by the harlot down there in that bad district.

Proverbs 7:22-23

(22) He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, [now that’s the end of your adultery, your fornication] or as the fool to the correction of the stocks;

(23) Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.

Now if you’ve got a good, healthy liver, you can almost knock anything on the head. Hepatitis and all these things are mentioned right in here.

You can see where they all come from.

Proverbs 7:24-27

(24) Hearken unto me therefore, ye children, attend to the words of my mouth.

(25) Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.

(26) For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain. [Now you start out with just getting a wound, then you start getting killed by it.]

(27) Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

18

Now that is concerning that which is illicit. In other words, that which is wrong. In other words, as Brother Branham said, what is adultery and fornication? It is a good act that is done in the wrong way.

Now we read the other night, and there again, Proverbs the 5th chapter, 18-20. because now you can’t keep this away from people because this is the truth.

Paul said, “Listen, if you’re burning, you better get married rather than to get messed up.”

Now that’s not the ultimate of marriage, but that’s a big part of it. And there be no such thing about marriage or the rearing of children without it.

Brother Branham categorically made the explanation. He said we are all born by sexual desire. So don’t try to call it something else.

19

Oh I know years ago I got… I could have vomited. And I can still vomit thinking about it.

This preacher, he got married and he wrote the invitation, the picture of him and his girlfriend, he said, “Married for the glory of God.”

And I said, hogwash! I’m not saying it couldn’t happen. Did you get married for the glory of God, you men sitting here and you women? Ninety-nine and nine-tenth percent for sexual intercourse.

I mean that… there’s nothing wrong with the… Look, and let’s not be fools and pretend this is a closed subject you can’t talk about. It’s the truth. And you’re not condemned for it.

You were made that way. See, it’s a righteous act, but you got to put in it’s right place. See?

20

All right. He’s talking about this here and it says:

Proverbs 5:18-22

(18) Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.

(19) Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; be thou ravished always with her love.

(20) Why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?

(21) For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his goings.

(22) His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.

21

And it says, you get caught up in that, you won’t get rid of it. And that’s why sin is so rampant today in the world.

That’s exactly why marriages are adrift, and that’s why there is AIDS and the… and the punishment of God, is because they went haywire in the garden of Eden here.

Now Adam had a right to his wife. And the secret of a proper marriage is knowing who your wife is. Now it happens that… Brother Branham said, and I know correctly that Eve was a beautiful woman.

But if God let you know you were to marry a homely woman that had everything in the soul, and she’s a wonderful in… person inside, you would make a great big foolish mess and not have love at all by marrying some old sex queen or something.

Now the danger as Brother Branham showed here, is there’s nothing wrong with the woman physically. God made her that way.

22

What does she want to do? We could read it in the book here for she… it says, and… what is it, I forget where, Ezekiel or somewhere.

It says she makes pillows, and the ideas were armholes. Well, you know what she’s doing. She’s making… putting a padded bra on.

Now Brother Branham said categorically, the woman can’t… you know how she’s built has nothing to do with her, but he said don’t accentuate it.

Why, we got sweater girls and Marilyn Monroe’s and all the rest. That and see… they… It’s a perversion. It’s a complete perversion.

There’s nothing wrong with the right, it’s a right act and the right place, but beyond that it tells you what it does. It… and it names the whole gamut, right down to hell itself.

So Brother Branham had to preach the way he preached.

23

Now Eve didn’t deliberately do this. I doubt she… she didn’t want to do it. That’s why he kept warning. Listen, watch this nature that’s there.

And know… and right away people think woman’s dirty or something. No more dirty than nothing. Get the right understanding.

I’m trying to get it, that’s why I’m preaching a long time on it, because the more I preach on it, the more we have a chance as a people to get a beautiful, Scriptural, Holy Spirit understanding which, by the grace of God, we can pass on to our children and save them from what is in the earth today because it is horrible.

And don’t think that they’re not going to be subject to everything thrown upon them in this world.

24

Now the beast had no right to Eve, and she broke her.. the law of Adam, Adam’s union with her, which she was his wife, with her, and that union was a union of human flesh, not animal flesh.

Now we’re mammals, but I’m not a cow and you’re not a cow. And the beast was so close to human being the seed could mingle. Like a zebra and a horse, and so on.

But it wasn’t… it was, was not to be done. See? So what she did, she bore serpent seed, when she should have been bearing a true child of Adam.

Now, she did bear a true child of Adam, but by this time she had started the whole human race through the enemy into fornication and adultery.

25

Now does it begin to make sense? Now she was made for that purpose, but she doesn’t have to do it.

You show me that Pharaoh had to kill the little babies. I can show you he didn’t. And he’ll be judged of God for it. See?

On the other hand, neither could Moses go down and say to Pharaoh, “Hey Pharaoh, I tell you, I’m going to pray until you’re converted.”

He said, “Boy, I got you marked for death because God said so.” Sovereignty of God. You’re looking at the sovereignty of God.

And if you look at the sovereignty of God, the woman is no different from the man, it’s in me to do it but I don’t got to, I ain’t going to. See?

Not some stupid myth that men try to perpetrate on women and women try to perpetrate on men so that it’s kind of a hold-off when they look at each other.

Oh, fap, I am so sick and tired of stinkin’ hypocrisy. Why don’t you just nail it down with the Word of God.

There was something in her that allowed the enticement, which with her husband was not an enticement, it was a perfectly good thing that she had and a perfectly good thing that he had.

26

Now let me take you to the book of Romans the 5th chapter which is one of my really favorite portions. Romans is a fantastic book.

Now watch what it says.

Romans 5:12-13

(12) Wherefore, as by one man sin entered the world, and death by sin; [Now notice right there, Adam had to enter in to what he should not have entered in on the grounds of what she did. No siree.] and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

(13) (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

Now we know that we’re all in sin because David said, “I’ve been shapen in iniquity… I’ve shaped in sin, conceived in iniquity.” Or vice versa.

Romans 5:14

(14) Nevertheless [verse 14] death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

It doesn’t say Eve, now, it says Adam. Adam listened to his wife. She types the church carnal as well as the church spiritual.

Remember they had perfect union in the Word of God when they were spiritual-minded, even though in human bodies.

27

So Brother Branham must take this and hit it with all the force in the world to let you know that the woman, not that she is, but she has the potential lying in there to be the most deceived and deceiving of any creature on earth and the Bible says so.

Now that doesn’t make her a swill pot. You don’t have to use the potential. You can consecrate it to God.

But now it throws it on to Adam. Doesn’t say Eve did it, now it says Adam did it.

In other words, Adam had no right to enter into her sin. Now he could have stood right there and pleaded with her as Christ did not enter into our sins, He stood there and took our sins.

And he could have said, “God, if You’re going to kill her, which you got to kill her, then kill me too.”

But he blew it. He entered right into her and acted as Jesus Christ but not… didn’t do what Jesus Christ would do. He blew it.

28

Now Adam is the figure of Him which is to come. This shows the federal headship of Adam in the human race, the true human race, not serpent seed now. And looking at Jesus the Christ.

Now watch,

Romans 5:15

(15) [But off] …but not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one [not two now, one] many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

29

Now, as Brother Branham said here, concerning this man, he should not have listened, he should not have entered in. He had within his power and authority to be right, and therefore to lead her right.

Now put the man in that position, typing Jesus Christ. That’s why a woman can’t teach the Word and handle the Word of God. We’ll talk more and more on that. We’re just trying to get the places lined up, brother/sister.

We’re not looking to hurt anybody. We’re here to help everybody and get our souls and our spirits right with the Word of God, so that we have in our church family relationships and brother and sister relationships that are pure without carnality.

And that doesn’t mean we will now allow the brethren to kiss the sisters. If you do, we’ll just get the biggest guy in the house here, that’s Norman, I guess.

Somebody else with a flying tackle just about flatten you out, and scatter your brains with a four-by-four. No, we got no time for that hogwash. No, not, not at all.

30

I’m talking that you can look at a woman without being moved, and I’m not going to carry that very far either because a man’s going to be moved, period.

And a woman’s going to be moved, period, by a… just a touch on the hand. Course it’s a bad connotation. It’s a bad thing.

So we don’t want a lot of that, pawing around, and all of this stuff, you know, this other thing. There’s a limit to everything. See?

It isn’t that a thing in itself is all bad, it’s where you take it. But there’s got… but I would feel in this church it would come to the place… I like the term respect and appreciation. See?

31

Now,

Romans 5:16

(16) …Not as it was by one that sinned, so was the gift: [of con…:] for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

Now remember, when God first formed Adam, it was into him that was breathed the breath of lives, so therefore when he followed Eve, and took his place with her in a carnal act, he sold every one of us into bondage of sin. High treason.

And he knew what he was doing. And Jesus knew what he was doing.

32

Therefore… And this is the stinker, the tough one. Therefore in our homes, as we grow up as male children to adulthood, and the females the same, they must be taught. And then you’re responsible.

And if anybody gets out of line, there’s ways to deal with it. Of course, if the kid’s serpent seed, which you don’t know, I don’t know, who knows what you have.

I’m talking about, a whole gamut. Not any one person, you see? You just got to do your best with what God’s Word says.

33

Now,

Romans 5:17-19

(17) For one man’s offence death reigned by one; [look at what it did] much more they which received abundance of grace and gift of righteous shall reign in life by Christ Jesus or Jesus Christ.]

(18) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification. [That’s male and female both when you use the word men there.]

(19) For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners,

Now he was disobedient, but she was fooled. She was sucked into it. She didn’t realize what lay within her as a woman that could bring the human race down, and Adam saw that it was brought down.

34

Now look, it’s as simple as mechanics, except it’s terribly complex. The thought is simple. If I know, and I’ve got a piece of paper here that begin to get torn.

All I’ve got to do is to take a little bit of transparent plastic tape, and I think 3M makes the best, my experience.

And I put it on here and it won’t rip any further. That oversimplifies it. Because this paper doesn’t have passions and compassions.

I can do what I want, it’s inanimate.

35

We, in dealing with each other have the ability to do right or to do wrong, but we can know the mechanics. Then if we do wrong because of our nature, we let ourselves go, we’ll answer to God.

And this is what we must understand in this church here and as people so we have love and appreciation and the benefit of a true Bride as in Jesus Christ. And I will keep preaching it whether one of us gets it or not.

Because I will not stand blameful as far as I am concerned before the White Throne. And I’m before the White Throne right now, whether you believe it or not. I don’t give a rip.

Some of you, I’m sure, don’t believe it. I don’t want to hurt your feelings, but look, come on. Smart preachers around the country don’t get it. Back up. I haven’t got a bit of trouble. The prophet said it, now I know it.

36

You say “How?” Don’t ask me. How does anybody know anything? It’s a revelation. I can teach on a revelation, I cannot give you a revelation.

But if you have the revelation, as I have revelation, I can help you because I do teach.

Romans 5:20

(20) Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

Well, is it going to abound then toward the women as well the men? Is there a place where the women can have their place, the men can have their places?

And Brother Branham said, marry and live with your wives and be happy.

You know something? There’s nothing better in all the world than that? You come to the place eventually, you’ll find that out. The best thing in all the world is a good wife and just have a good life.

37

This business of having twenty pairs of shoes and a hundred and fifty suits and six Cadillacs… nothing against Cadillacs, I’d sooner have a Jaguar. Just one Jaguar.

I wouldn’t, I was just kidding you, I wouldn’t want a Jaguar. I couldn’t get one of those lousy things, your Ferrari or anything else.

A big old boxy car is more my favorite, except the little ones are cheaper when it comes to the gas.

You don’t need all that, you just need the common things of life.

38

And Brother Branham said if God could have given us something better than a Bride to His Son He’d have given us something better. If God could have given Adam something better than a wife, He’s have given him something better.

Then why look at women as though they’re a hunk of dirt or something? You can’t do it. There see? Look, what a man soweth in his wife he will get back, unless she’s a manure heap to begin with.

And if you married a manure heap, kid, it’s your tough luck, I didn’t marry him, you did. Silence in the church. Let the women laugh but not the men this time. She didn’t speak, they just laughed.

All right, what of the men if they’re going to marry a manure heap, what does it make them?

39

All right.

Romans 5:21

(21) That sin has reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Now, there you see what happened. God puts it back onto the man. So therefore you have to understand that there is such a thing as the man, not male in the sense of sexism, but the man is the head of the house and he is responsible.

Now he can’t make his wife do anything. And Adam didn’t make his wife do anything. But I’m going to tell you, he stood with her.

He said right or wrong, this is my wife, and she was wrong. But she was the right one for him just the same, because this is the sovereignty of God. So just don’t go overboard. Got to watch the whole thing.

40

Now, we go back here then to 2 Timothy, and I want to read you something here concerning the deacons and the elders which does not pertain to every male in the congregation, but is strictly for the males and every male should have these qualities because anybody could desire an office of a deacon…

What am I looking at? I can’t find it here. Maybe I’m in the wrong chapter. Oh, I don’t want that one, do I?

1 Timothy 3:1-4

(01) This is a true saying, If a man [not a woman, she cannot hold an office] desire the office of an elder, he desires a good work.

(02) An elder must be therefore blameless, [In other words, he’s a good boxer, he knows how to parry the blows. He doesn’t hit anybody but he knows how to keep the punches from coming] the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

(03) Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

(04) One that ruleth his own house well, ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;

41

In other words, the kids are brought up knowing the seriousness of life and he being a serious minded person, does not treat them frivolously.

He treats them like they should be treated. Like a man-to-man and a daughter-to-daughter basis. “Not a novice…”

1 Timothy 3:5-7

(05) (For if a man know not how to care for his own house, or rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

(06) Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into condemnation of the devil.

(07) Moreover he must have a good report of them that are without; lest he fall into the reproach and the snare of the devil.

42

Now, let’s go to 2 Timothy, the 2nd chapter. I hope I got this one right here. Maybe I don’t, I don’t know. The 19th verse, beginning.

2 Timothy 2:19-20

(19) Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. [In other words, overcoming temptation, the lust of the eye, the pride of life, the lust of the flesh and all those things.]

(20) But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

Now it tells you right there the church is made up of people of all kinds of different ranks, and some never will be the Christians that others are Christian.

Brother Branham said Abraham was a silver dollar. What was Lot? Maybe a ten cent piece. Well, don’t throw away the ten cent piece. You’re in God’s economy somewhere.

43

Just like in… just like there’s believer, unbeliever and make-believer. Don’t throw them away.

I pray daily, and whether you know it or not, I pray daily and mostly twice a day, “God, let Your Spirit come upon every one in this church. If there’s believers, make-believer, unbeliever…”

And prophet said we got them. I could be one myself. God anoint those people under the Holy Ghost to bring forth a fruit and a life and a love so that everybody gets healed.

44

We’re in the exodus. Show me in the exodus where those three kinds of people, anybody missed anything.

Some of them thought they could just have a whole big sex time, and they died for it. Others grumbled and grouched, but their clothes did not wear out.

Their feet did not stink, they didn’t lack water, they didn’t lack food, they lacked nothing. Wasn’t one person sick. Not one feeble. You tell me if the blood of bulls and goats can do that, and actually a blood of a lamb did that.

How much more the precious blood of Jesus Christ in this hour? We’re forgetting, brother/sister, the theorem principle. I pray every day.

I don’t care who, I don’t care if me, you and anybody else or what we are. I want to see the grace and blessing of God in this church, and I want it for every single person. Not one missing it.

45

Now, we notice what we read here in… Let me read some more.

2 Timothy 2:21-24

(21) If therefore a man purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. [In other words, if you make the best of what you are.]

(22) Flee also youthful lusts: Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, [that’s your two books, your book of Proverbs, your good sister that you marry and this lousy wench out there that she wants to louse you up.] faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

(23) But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strife.

(24) And the servant of the Lord.

I said this is… this… the men are to assume this role, and if the men are to assume this role and be this role, then every man in the church should have these qualities. Right.

Should begin looking at them. Flee youthful lusts, do this and that, and so on, and the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Timothy 2:24-25

(24) …must not strive; be patient unto all, [not just men, everybody] apt to teach, gentle unto all [rather] be gentle to all,

(25) In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give repentance.

46

Now what did Brother Branham do in Sister Meda? She took authority sort of away.

Now really, you and I both know that Brother Branham admitted to a degree that he was guilty because every time Joe would say, “Well, I’m sorry,” well, he just couldn’t spank the child.

He said he’s… “I’m sorry.” When he says “I’m sorry,” what can I do?

So Meda just whirled and she got a little bit rough at that time and Brother Branham talked to her.

He said, “Now Meda, “he said, “I want to talk to you.” She bang slammed the door on him, didn’t want to talk to him. But he very gently, quietly said, “Now He wasn’t pleased that you said that.”

Why do you think you wench you’re telling me the head of the house and I being a prophet. Didn’t say that at all.

Said, “I want to talk to you.” Very calmly, very nicely. See? The Word of God can not be used as a club.

47

I think myself that Sister Branham went through that for the… for the Bride, for the whole church to understand. See? That we got to understand these things.

See this is laid on Adam, these things, not on Eve. And here is a thought that sort of fits this, as we go back to the book of Luke the 12th chapter.

And we want to see the men here alongside the women because you cannot talk of men without women or women without men because it just doesn’t work.

They are one and… and a spiritual figure to begin with, then they became one in a physical figure, then they became separated.

And when they became separated, the trouble set in. So therefore the man and the wife must learn to be close, close, close, close, close. Be very close.

48

Now some people won’t agree because they then say if the man dies the wife goes to pieces. Well there… I would be happy if my wife went to pieces over me like I’d go to pieces over her. I’m not… you know I’m not trying to stand up here and…

Why don’t you, why don’t you figure what somebody else is. I don’t care what any other preacher preaches. I preach what I preach. I’m interested in you people. Out there they do what they want.

In here we’re working with something maybe, I don’t know how many churches are working what we’re working toward, but you people understand we are working towards a life in this Word that you will inherit by the grace of God and be that living Word.

Whether I make it or not, that’s beside the point. I want you to make it.

49

42, 12th chapter.

Luke 12:42-46

(42) And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise servant whom his lord shall make rule of his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?

(43) Blessed is that servant, whom his lord findeth cometh when the lord come… when he cometh shall find so doing.

(44) Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.

(45) But if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and eat and drink, with the drunken;

(46) The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

Now that’s the coming as contrasted, the appearing is already taking place, that’s going on now.

Luke 12:47-48

(47) And that servant, which knew the lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

(48) And he that knew not, did… and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. [Now here’s the moral.] For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

50

You vote a preacher in… Turn it over.

You vote a preacher in you can demand something of him. Preachers get in they say, “Well, I’m the supreme authority.” Hogwash.

I wouldn’t give a nickel for that kind of statement, not unless, when it came to the prophet. What the prophet meant I’ll take all of it. I consider myself a supreme authority. It’s His Word right here.

In other words, you got something to say, I don’t mind you saying it. But you never say it over this pulpit. If you want the job you take it. That sounds kind of mean, but I’m not mean, I’m just telling the truth. Because that’s all there is to it.

51

Now if I got to take that authority, I better have something to give me that authority and help you people and give you something, because much is going to be required of me.

If I’m a teacher, much is required of me. If the man is the head of the house and he is superior, and the woman’s inferior, much is required of the man. Then let the man stand up in headship.

Now I’m speaking from experience, a man that has been married almost fifty years. And I can tell you that ninety percent of the trouble in our home came from me.

There’s another ten percent from my wife and I could blast her hair right off for it because I’m an impatient type of guy. But the majority of trouble comes from the men, not the women.

And if trouble does come from the women you recognize they’re a weaker vessel, and we are to live with them as such. But they are not dirty, filthy things. See?

52

Now Brother Branham said it takes a lot of bad women to make a real… a good woman really shine. That’s the truth.

And what you’re looking at here is what Brother Branham laid down, and I’m trying to put it in perspective because I think I know the man’s heart.

Now, much is required of those men in authority. In the home the men, much is required. And I mean a lot is required.

He isn’t out there only earning the living and beating his head to bring a living to the family, when he comes home, it’s expected that he be sweet and kind and help the family.

You say, “My God, my wife’s supposed to do that.” She… oh, oh, oh, fathead, I’m going tell you, you are supposed to do that. Hi fatheads, young married men, older men. After awhile I take the rub off, being nasty to you.

Brother Branham categorically said, you don’t bring your job home. Leave it outside the door. Now is the time for the family. My family needs me.

“Oh, I got to go off and play pool, I got to shoot some snooker, I’ve got to bowl with the boys. There’s a show down the road, there’s some fishing, there’s some hunting.”

Well do your snooker playing, and your fishing and your hunting home. Then you may go down the road. A good citizen’s first of all a good Christian and a good family man.

53

We didn’t put half the time with our kids we should have. I could do it, see, I’m telling you from the tears in my heart, if I could do it over, I wouldn’t care two bits if we ate the bark off a tree.

All the junk food we gave myself and my wife and the kids haven’t paid off anyway. All the fact we never let them wear second-hand clothes, we had to have new because we didn’t have it too good.

You just keep trying to pile up for your kids the wrong thing, they ain’t going to get to first base. No sir. Teaspoon full of love is worth one million dollars in cash any day, and a whole lot more.

54

Okay, we’re talking about this. Now we’re talking about this thing here about the men, so let’s talk about the book of Hebrews chapter 1, and we’re going to look at a man.

Hebrews 1:1

(01) God, who [in many parts] and many ways, different occasions, all kinds of manners, spoke unto the fathers in the prophets,

The thing is this: God was in the male, the prophet.

And the male prophet instructed the male men. And all the women listen, and all the kids listen. They’re supposed to.

But no woman is going to listen to a kooky man. And the kids can smell out screwy parents in fifteen seconds. They’re not stupid.

55

So, the revelation of the Seven Seals and Seven Thunders in this hour is not the prophet building up men and bringing down women, but explaining the fall. That it was sexually motivated.

So, it wasn’t eating apples. It was sex. What’s the big deal? Are you going to say, “God I’d a better idea? Mine would have been nicer?” Huh?

Our minds haven’t got a clue to the mind of God. No way, I’m sorry. Except for the Holy Ghost, we would rejoice in nothing about God, because there’s nothing in God to rejoice in, in the carnal mind.

A lump of wood can’t honor God. How much more a perverse spirit? Except for the Holy Ghost it’s all, not only passé, it is repulsive.

56

Why do you think people hate what we believe? Because it’s repulsive to them. That’s the plain truth of it. Now in the meantime what they’ve got is repulsive to us.

If you’re like the Hebrew children you like chickpeas, garbanzos and lentils. You’d say what’s this wine junk doing here anyway in this marinated beef and this rich double-malted chocolate cheesecake? Yuck. Right? That’s right. Right.

So the revelation was not to bring women down, exalt men, but to show the fall, to explain it was sexually motivated.

And is even now sustained on the same basis with the physical typing the spiritual, and both men and women are adulterers.

And with the revelation now comes the way to be truly happily married in Christ and married to each other.

What would be more wonderful to think that our children had an opportunity to come up in a church like this that tried and wanted desperately to have the Word of God by the Holy Ghost motivating their lives and getting married?

Why, you’d have almost heaven on earth. Except you’re completely bumbleheaded and I can’t believe that you’re bumbleheaded or I’m bumbleheaded.

Look, the church was born at Pentecost. Think of the power and the manifestation.

57

Let’s go to Acts the 4th chapter and see what the early church was like. Oh my, got to read fast now because I’m way behind.

Acts 4:32-33

(32) And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and one soul: [Oh my, what a church] neither said they any of them that aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things in common [and they liked it].

(33) [And great power…] …with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and there was great grace upon them all.

And then came in Ananias and Sapphira, the second Adam and Eve. And they made a little vow to come against God. They worked it out together, to come against God.

And the church began to stink at that moment. The devil’s seduction, which is typified by human seduction, the male over the female; or the female now wanting to strut her stuff to get the male, is right here in the church today.

Even Adam in collusion there back at Pentecost, and now going on today.

58

All right. The Seventh Seal with the Seven Thunders revealed the mystery of the fall, the serpent seed, the reason for divorce and many other great doctrines.

And here is the great truth we’re looking at. Brother Branham said it right here. And his “Marriage and Divorce” is under the Seventh Seal, one of the Thunders.

[151]  Now listen, for about five minutes, [that’s all it took,] I want to call your attention to something.

[152]  What is God? God is the great eternal, at the beginning way back there was, before there was a beginning, any creation, he wasn’t even God. You know that. And God’s an object of worship. There was nothing to worship him. He lived alone.

[153]  And in Him were attributes. What is an attribute? A thought. Now you’ll get something that will border on the lesson for tonight. Notice, He was–He was His attributes that [were] in Him.

That’s what He was. God can only be what’s in Him. You’re only what you are. So forget it. Don’t try to add a cubit to your stature or anything else, just remember what you are and look to God.

[153]  …Now, in Him was to be Father, in Him was to be God, in Him was to be Son, in Him was to be Savior, [absolutely that’s true.] in Him was to be healer. …all these things there are just displaying His attributes. There’s nothing out of order. [Ah, no, no, not with God.]

59

[153]  You–you think God didn’t see the end from the beginning? Certainly He did. There’s nothing out of order, He’s just displaying His attributes.

[154]  Now, He could not be just to make a man to fall. He had to put him on equal basis of free moral agency to make his own choice, but knowing he would fall.

[155]  Now He can’t be Savior unless something’s lost, He can’t be healer unless something’s sick. These things had to be that way, God made them thus.

So His great attributes could be displayed. If there weren’t any, He’d never been a Savior, never be a healer. But we know He was, even before there was time He was a Savior. He was a Savior, so there has to be something lost. How is it going to be?

60

Well, Lord, let me tell You how, this prophet William Branham on serpent seed, hu-pooh, you think I’ll believe that obnoxious swill from hell, I’ve got my own idea, Lord, it’s eating apples.

Well, why don’t we all eat apples and see what happens? It happened back there it’ll happen now. Yeah. You talk about stupidity.

[155]  So something has to be lost. How’s it going to be?

[156]  If he takes and loses it just in order to save it, then it doesn’t do justice to His judgment. He couldn’t send a man to hell and be just, He’s kind, gentle, true, honest, He’s a great Judge.

[In other words He discerns. He knows which way things are going. He makes them go.] See? He’d be working against Himself.

[157]  So He had to put a man out there and put him on a free moral basis or agency, knowing that he would fall.

That’s not bad. If God had to do it that way, let Him do that way. You know, I tell you what, you think that…

You… you, listen, we’re not going to compare God to man. But I’m going to tell you something, God is stubborn. He’s not going to change His ways.

61

How many women married now do you know that you tried to tell your husband something, and I think maybe you were right, but the minute you opened your mouth, that’s the time he did it if he’d kill himself. Right Mary?

Little bit, not too much. Right, all you girls? Don’t feel bad, I’ve got your husbands over a barrel. I’ve done it myself different times. I’m not happy about it.

Now you think you’re going to tell God something this morning? Now let’s… I want you to relax and begin to get principles this morning, brother/sister.

I want you to realize you could be a victim, but you are not a victim, you are an heir to the grace of God which you could not have apart from this. So make up your mind.

62

My brother-in-law told a joke years ago. It’s one of those dirty jokes that nauseate you. He said this kid was eating an egg.

And he said, “Daddy, this egg doesn’t taste right.” Shut up and eat your egg.

So the kid said, “Do I have to eat the beak?”

There’s a lot of things in the Bible that are just real close to that. Why does it have to be this way? Because God said so. Why did He do it? Because that’s the best way. “Why, I don’t see it. Faith is blind.”

Today the baptism with the Holy Ghost itself is without sensation or feeling whatsoever. That is you suddenly realizing that you always were a part of Him.

That you can take this Word, listen, knowing He would fall, and a man in His own image. How could He fall? Now you seeing daylight?

Say, “Not exactly.” See it anyway. God said so. He wasn’t going to fall. Typing Christ again. See?

Remember, Adam and Christ are perfect in types one to the other. See? So He had to make a by-product, something out of the original.

Now you see it. Of course, they didn’t see it. Of course we don’t see it. Can we take it? Now that’s up to the women, too, because you are going to by your spirit contribute to this church.

63

Now I’m fighting to get my spirit a hundred percent right with God’s on the ground that this is technically, mechanically perfect Word from God. When I accept it, it’ll become a revelation. Watch it move.

Woman could say, “Hey, I was a choice vessel to God. He picked me.”

Well, that doesn’t sound good He picked you for the fall. Yes He did. A vessel fit for the master’s use. Didn’t look too fit. Ah-ha, wait till the resurrection.

Everything you want to be you’ll be more and then some. As eye hath not seen nor ear heard what’s even in the Millennium.

There’s hardly a sentence in the Bible about the Millennium. This is one reason I know the Millennium is the greatest, greatest, greatest, greatest, greatest, greatest God knows how great that’s coming up.

And I don’t want to miss it. One thousand years or whatever it takes, I don’t care, I don’t want to miss it because this to me is the complete epitomization, or the realization of what life is all about.

From then on you are going to a step further, but to me the Millennium is what they missed out in, what lies ahead, my brother, my sister.

64

And let me tell you, if Eve had not fallen and Adam had not fallen, it could not be what God wants for us, because He will expose Himself more and more completely through it all.

So we must begin to understand what’s behind this. This is a revelation of the Seventh Seal, of the Seven Thunders, we are into the know as other people have never known.

Now we can sit back and say “Well, I don’t think I want to know it.” Well, you know it anyway and you’re stuck with it. You decided to come to church this morning, you got stuck with what I had to say. I’m saying it anyway. Yes sir.

[157]  He had to make a by-product, something out of the original creation. Now you see it, see, there you come. See, then that’s what fell. He made it, knowing it would fall.

But he said the same thing up here about Adam. The human race must fall. But the Bible said though man falls seven times that we’re to pick him up.

Who are you, O man, that judges another man’s servant? Unto his own master he standeth in folly. Yea, and God is able to make him stand.

You got to look at it that way because that’s the only way to look at it. And He… and it’s all put over in the hands of Satan for a vessel for dishonor.

65

What’s the difference? God raised it up to a vessel of honor, which it couldn’t be in the context of the greater honor and glory if it remained in dishonor and glory by us allowing God through his divine purpose of grace and faith and what have you.

To allow the outworking of God’s Holy Spirit and His Word in our lives, will put us in a position, brother/sister, you and I have never dreamed of.

And it says, “And I will overcome, you overcome, you’ll sit in my throne.” What more does anybody want? You ask me. I can see nothing but anybody want any more, he’s asking for folly and stupidity.

All right. This exactly what we read here is Romans the 9th chapter.

And I’m going over this again because the more I go over it, the more you become thoroughly familiar with the Scripture we’re using here based on what Brother Branham said.

And if I’m right then fine, if I’m wrong I’m sorry I’m teaching you wrong. You got to find out for yourself.

Now it says here concerning Moses and Pharaoh and Jacob and Esau and all these others in there, Ishmael and so on, it says here in verse 18 and 9:

Romans 9:18-19

(18) Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardens.

(19) Thou wilt then say to me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who has resisted his will?

Well, I think God’s picking on me, the prophet’s picking on me, everybody’s picking. Nobody’s picking on any woman here. Nobody’s picking on anybody. It’s not the thing.

Romans 9:20

(20) Nay but, O man, who are you that replies against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why did you make me out of the original creation?

66

Oh, you take a look at man, he ain’t so hot being in the original creation, what are you talking about? He’s more responsible.

He’s the guy that’s got to really cut the mustard. Women’s lib have destroyed the sisters in the world today. Coming right into church, the women have a terrible time because that gunk out there.

What Brother Branham called a sex disposal. Because that’s what it is. Boy, oh boy, oh boy. That’s all they know.

Romans 9:21-23

(21) Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make a vessel to honour, and one to dishonour?

(22) What if God, willing to show his wrath, and make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

(23) That he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

67

There’s two women. One’s a faithful wife and mother, never messed with a man, the other is a harlot out here.

Here’s your Swaggarts and Bakkers and all the rest of them, with their Jessica’s and all the rest of them running out there. They can shoot off at the mouth, but that’s about all they’re shooting off at.

Brother Branham said… the woman was a by-product. She was produced from man. Now this is a little reasoning here we shouldn’t really reason, I’m just going to give you a little thought.

If she can be the lowest creation of… if she can be the lowest of all creation in her sexual sin and since she is out of man, just how good is the male content that she’s made out of, because she’s his glory.

In other words, when a man talks about a woman, he hasn’t got too much grounds to talk. What about himself? Is he the glory of God the way he’s supposed to be? Because she’s the glory of man.

68

Now this is a great type of, and warning, to show what just one step from the original takes us. One word off. Now if we want to get really right with the Word, we have to take a look at what is written.

01. Eve left the Word, she transgressed, she became immoral.

02. Adam left God for sexual reasons.

03. Now if the woman is so constituted by the sovereignty of God that as long as mankind and nature have fallen, the woman has no spiritual authority with the Word, and must be subject to her husband’s rule by the Word, and it must be by the Word.

If it’s not by the Word, and remember, if he uses the Word to pull a woman down and to hurt her, he’s a hypocrite and liar because it’s a club. The Word of God is living and is life and spirit. Got to watch it.

04. This means the sister’s passive or doctrinal faith must always come through male channels, beginning with the Word prophet and going to the five-fold ministry in which there are no women. Or women will do exactly the same as Cain did.

As Miriam did, and as Koran and Dathan, and Abiram did. For the Bible warns they must keep silent in the church.

It doesn’t mean they can’t witness, it doesn’t mean they cannot talk Word, it means they have no part in setting the Word whatsoever or the preaching of the Word of God or the handling, but they do things contingent with it. Like, they can testify to people and so on.

05. This get them out of a terrifying responsibility that must be handled by the men. For teaching the Word of God today is Revelation 22:18 and 19, if you take one word, you’ve lost your name out of the book of Life, and you add one word, you get the plagues.

A woman that keeps her mouth shut is not in danger. On the contrary, the man has to open his mouth. How much is the husband teaching his wife the way she should be taught?

06.She stays away from passive faith, she just reveals… she just takes the revealed Word. That’s the Bride, does the same thing, see? 6.

This releases them to great active faith as found in Hebrews 11, where it talks of Rahab, the women receiving their dead back to life, of Sarah, and other great women.

And by the way, too, I find no Scripture anywhere Brother Branham said a woman couldn’t speak in tongues and prophesy and do the thing right in the church. In fact, he commended a woman in a meeting who had prophesied concerning him that very day.

That’s Sister Schneider, I think her name was, in Shreveport, Louisiana. And she said the spirit of Elijah and Moses and Jesus Christ will be in this meeting. I think that was her prophecy. And it was. She didn’t know what she was saying.

07. Women don’t have to prove anything in the face of being denied the responsibility of handling the Word of God. In other words, that which is contingent upon men because they do handle the Word, the woman doesn’t have to have it.

She just lives a sober, sweet, quiet life in the home, doing what she can, while her husband do’s everything… does everything he can to help out, and out there in the field and so on.

69

So what I have been aiming to set forth in this series, is that I am against any spirit in this church that would cause anyone to look down on a woman because she is a woman and not esteem her as a sister exactly as according to the Word.

At the same time I’m obligated to stay with the prophet and the Word of this hour that refuses the woman to get out of her place and encourage a man to take his place and rule and guide his household by the Word and refuses to give in as Adam did to Eve.

In other words, many a man would have pressure put on him, right in this church for all I know, sexually, and say, “Now listen here, I’ll just hold you off.”

You’re a phony and a fraud, you’re a prostitute. Taking … man, pulling that kind of junk. I’m just going to tell you flat, I’ll comb your hair for this morning.

Shows exactly what Brother Branham talked about. That spirit can get on a woman more than a man.

70

Listen, years ago it was the man that left the house. Today there are more women leaving husbands and children than men are.

We never believed that they would ever come to see a lesbian woman. No. Oh, maybe once out there in the field or something.

They had it back in Bible days. They built shrines and the women decorated the shrines and built special veils and curtains for the temple of the homosexuals.

Now they’re right in it, lock, stock and barrel. Bible said they would be. Men and women, both gone to the dogs.

The husband is responsible for his wife to keep her nature from posturing as the female and a mother, because the human nature of women qualifies her to be subjective to the bearing of children and those things which without her nature being that way.

And she’s getting worse and worse now away from it. She’ll be a complete mess. Then they posture in that position and say, “Well, my mother instinct, my mother this.”

Your mother instinct isn’t worth a hoot against this Word of God. And that’s where the male comes in.

The Bible speaks of God pitying his children as a father pities. Never said one thing about a mother pitying her children.

71

Let’s go a little further. It was the women that ate their children, became cannibals. I’m letting you know, women nature is just what Brother Branham said.

And look, now you sisters here don’t have a care in the world if you are sisters according to the Word of God, daughters of Abraham or Sarah. Daughters of Sarah, like the men must be sons of Abraham.

See, what Brother Branham hit? The mixed marriage. Then he said, here’s two Pentecostals. Didn’t know what Pentecost was.

She said, “Oh, I left my husband. Why? Religious differences. Oh, he said, was he a Catholic? Oh no, we’re both Pentecostal.”

Well, it can happen in this message here. Yeah. Women. Now that’s not running women down, that’s telling you what is there. And I’m telling you, the men will fall for the woman’s cesspool.

72

Now we don’t have to have it here. We want a clear understanding. That’s why the children must be taught and everybody must be taught. We must all teach and understand the truth.

And we’re not hitting at woman or women, we’re just laying the thing out here where the danger always was.

The standard for all men, which I read already in 1 Timothy there is that they’re not deacons and elders, but that’s the basis of it.

Now the husband can be seen to be accountable for his wife, whether he wants to or not, or she likes it or not.

That is why Brother Branham said a man could divorce his wife for such things as that seem pretty petty to you and me if we don’t understand the Word of God.

Which is, cut hair and wrong dresses, wearing men’s clothes and so on. Brother Branham said that’s ground for divorce.

Now I know women don’t like that and there are a lot of men don’t like it, but that’s the truth, you see?

73

Okay, but not saying they should do it, not saying they will do it. See? A lot of homes get broken, homes are being in the process of being breaking… being broken up right now by… Brother Terry told me some things, what’s going on his way.

Another brother told me what went on out west. When he was out working, the electrician or somebody came in and she runs off with him, leaves the kids. Now that happens. We know that happens.

74

Men… now what we’re seeing here is what Brother Branham taught there, he said he gave us the rules how to overcome it.

Men and women who call themselves Christians and say they believe this message are not worthy of the kingdom if they can’t strive together to put God first by His revealed Word and both set the house and home in order, starting with the Scriptural husband/wife pattern.

And that’s not a negative thing, that’s a positive thing. Through the revelation and the spirit of the Word we can all come to,

Romans 8:1

(01) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. [In other words, both are born again.]

75

For the husband or wife to deal in put-downs, is not right. You’ll see that a lot of time. We have it in our home the odd time.

My wife’s not bad, I’m worse one of all. Sometimes I get her so mad then she decides a little bit of, you know, tip the sauce for the gooses.

All right, what it is … True. I don’t stand up here and not tell the truth. See? And men can get too sharp. It’s just not good.

I’ve learned a lot in fifty years and I’m learning more. Another hundred and fifty years are just… have a couple of things under my belt here.

But you know, a lot of men come to me and they talk about you wives. The first thing I do, I say, well that’s very wonderful. Then I talk to the wife. See, I’m a Libra, I’m not stupid.

You talk to my wife, she’ll say, “Oh, Lee’s perfect.” Yeah, he’s a perfect idiot. She won’t tell you the rest of it.

But you know, that’s my best fan and that’s the way it should be, but then I can’t take advantage of it. See? That’s what’s wrong.

76

Now each must help the other by determining to please God. Now that’s the secret. It is not who gets his or her way, but who will go God’s way. This is why we must ever guard ourselves and believe and obey 1 Peter 3…

How much time have we got? Oh good, we can just finish it. Praise the Lord. Because I don’t want to hold this over because I forget where I am in my notes half the time.

All right.

1 Peter 3:1-3

(01) Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they may be one without the word… they may without the word be won by their behavior, the behavior of the wives; [Now that’s in a double mixed in a bad marriage.]

(02) While they behold your chaste behavior coupled with fear.

(03) Whose adorning let it not be the outward plaiting of the hair, and the wearing of gold, or putting on apparel;

Now that doesn’t mean that a good woman can’t have some of that. It just means, don’t dress up and be sexy for the old boy and think you’re going to get him by being a sex image. Live the life.

Work from the inside out so that he knows there’s something in there in spite of the outside. But if you put on a great big show and look pretty, pretty, pretty to get the old boy all jazzed up, you ain’t going get him past the bed or out of the bed.

He just, just… Come on, you’re not going to get in the kingdom of God. You just got a sex act in your hand. You look it, you see the danger I’m talking about?

Hey look, if you can’t understand now what Brother Branham was saying, I don’t… I guess I’m not getting it across or both of us are extremely dumb when it comes to spiritual things.

1 Peter 3:4-5

(04) Let it be the hidden woman of the heart, [it says man here, but I’ve got the… hidden man is right as Christ, but let it be the woman, the inner woman talking out with Christ in her spirit or soul] in that which is not corruptible, eve the ornament [in other words, dress up] with a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is great price.

(05) After this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

77

In other words, the most precious adornment a woman can bring to the home is saying, “Look, I want a husband who lives… who has the Word of God in his heart and is trying to live it, and he wants me to live it with him.”

Now Paul… He just tells you right here, the big thing is not sex. You are going to get into it. You cannot help being in it, and you will be in it. But watch how you get in it. That’s right.

I want to tell you something. You can be a good driver and drive a lot of good cars, but don’t fool with your neighbor’s car. I’m talking about sex, when you apply it you understand what I’m saying. Stay out of somebody else’s bed and everything else.

1 Peter 3:6

(06) Even as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: [In other words, she was respectful knowing where her place was and his place was.]

78

You know, if you ever get in the spirit of God and love somebody, this is duck soup. You want to be this way. If you haven’t, you’ll just start fighting and be a sexist.

That’s a brawling woman, and a brawling woman ain’t fit to live with. Just leave her, just get out and leave her alone, let her go her way. But you might not be able to marry again. I wouldn’t stop you, that’s your business.

But I tell you what, you sure got to be careful about these things. Same as man beat a woman up and try to bang her around and everything else. Live with other women. You aren’t to stay with him, but you might not marry again.

1 Peter 3:7

(07) Likewise, husbands, [now watch, the men are going to get it now] dwell with them according to knowledge, [and our knowledge is revelation now, not just sexual] giving honour to the woman, as unto the weaker vessel,

And now say, God made her this way exactly, now I’ve got to walk the way Adam didn’t walk, I’ve got to walk right with the Word of God. Now it doesn’t say she’s a rotten vessel.

79

What’s a weaker vessel? Well, I tell you, I got some bowls the other day at a very good price. They’re about this round, and about that deep, and they’re fantastic.

I got three of them, but I think I paid a buck a piece. Or maybe a dollar seventy-five, I think they were about six dollars between them, and I found them weaker vessels, that… gone plastic. What a nice vessel if it hadn’t been weak.

Now women do not have what men have in a certain area. So therefore the men must be strong in that area and therefore help the women.

And whether you know it or not, it goes along this very line here. I know women… Brother Branham said, men are created for the acts, and can take it so therefore women got to say no.

That is exactly true, but I’m going to say this, why should the stronger vessel go round looking for a weak woman? If you’re supposed to shun the prostitute, why look for a good woman to mess with her that’s not a prostitute?

Why not go to the prostitute? At least she’s in business for your dirty works. Why would you spoil a good girl? See? Now if you fool with her you better marry her. That’s legal. That’s Bible.

Bible does not cover anything, I mean, it doesn’t un… doesn’t not uncover anything. It absolutely uncovers it all. It tells you there, and I said…

Now husbands, you’re stronger and so therefore you deal with it as a weaker vessel. And notice, “as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.”

80

See what two people in a home can do where two be agreed? Prayers go right through.

1 Peter 3:8-9

(08) Finally, be of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous; [Now that’s brothers… that’s brothers and sisters in Christ in marriage as well as in the church.]

(09) Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing;

Hey, that’s a good one, instead of the men getting mad and cussing their wives out or vice versa, start blessing them. Oh I’ve got a good wife that does it, I must admit. I give her all the credit. She’s got credit there.

1 Peter 3:9

(09) …knowing that you’re called unto it, that you’re going to inherit a blessing.

81

In other words, all the cussing the man could do to a woman isn’t going to hurt her, and all the back trouble the man gives a woman ain’t going to, you know vice versa.

If you’re ordained to blessing you’re going to get it. So live the life together and get the double blessing.

1 Peter 3:11

(11) Let him eschew evil, do good; let him seek peace, [and so on right down the line].

82

Okay. All right. Where’d we get to now? I’ve got to see my notes here. Now Peter was married and he followed this pattern. Yeah. He was married, see?

Now, in closing… which, give me two minutes here to read this; a few minutes.

I want to mention, last Wednesday night, I brought to your attention that Adam and Eve were husband and wife before the fall, yet they were less husband and wife and more man and woman than husband and wife before the fall. Right? They were.

Now she’s never ceased to be woman, and he has never ceased to be man. So therefore, God’s order has never changed either.

It is husband and wife under the Holy Spirit, living one life united, or living one united life in two separate bodies and recognizing that man differs from woman physically and positional and that continues as husband and wife.

83

What I’m trying to say here, it was all ordained before man and woman ever got together physically as husband and wife. And that never changes. It never changes.

You must continue in the position that God ordained and He’ll bless. When we marry we are man and woman, and after marriage, husband and wife.

Yet there is no change in either, except for new patterns of restraint and liberty and responsibility. You got to bear, forbear, you got to give in at times. Yep, you got to be responsible.

Then we dealt together according to knowledge and truth, and the basic knowledge and truth is always as at the beginning. And what’s at the beginning is husband and wife when they got together after the fall.

Man, the hard-working provider who is willing to live and bleed for his family; and the woman cares for the husband and children as her main contribution to the whole, and the whole family seeks God by the revealed Word of the prophet.

84

That will give us Ephesians the 5th chapter of the man and the wife. In Ephesians 5, which you can read for yourself, it makes no mention of superiority or inferiority. It refers to nothing, it infers nothing, it tells it as it is.

The nobility of God in the universe is shared only by man and woman and no other part of creation can know it.

Does it then matter at this point of glory, who is a John the Baptist who had the Holy Ghost from his mother’s womb, or Paul the apostle that killed believers by the scores, thinking he was doing God a service? How perverted can you be?

Does it matter whether you’re Mary, the mother of Jesus, or Mary Magdalene, full of devils and a harlot, or a Mary and a Martha? Really doesn’t matter.

It’s no longer looking, well, I’m the strong one, you’re the weak one. She knows she’s weak, he knows he’s weak. He knows he needs God, she knows they need God. And the great solution in this life is both people coming to God at all times.

85

You know, you can make your marriage and I can make mine one of heaven on earth if we want to, it’s up to us.

No devil in hell or government or anything else can stop us and never has yet and never will. It’s in the human soul.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

(09) Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither idolaters, fornicators, adulterers, effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

(10) Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

(11) And such were some of you: but you’re washed, you’re sanctified, and you’re justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and by the Spirit of our God.

It doesn’t much matter. That runs the whole gamut. That tells the whole story. If you’re truly born again.

86

All right, let’s look a little further.

Ephesians 2:1-10

(01) And you that he quicken, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

(02) Wherein in time past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

(03) Among whom also we all had our behavior in times past in the lusts of the flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and the mind; that were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

(04) But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

(05) Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together in with Christ Jesus, [by grace ye are saved:]

(06) Hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: [That’s heirs to grace together, man and wife.]

(07) That in ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Jesus Christ.

(08) [And by grace…] For by grace ye are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

(09) Not of works, lest any man should boast.

(10) For we are his workmanship, [male and female] created in Christ Jesus unto good works,

She’s an individual seed, you’re an individual seed as a male. You were both in Him. See? Marriage brings the two together like typing Christ and the Bride. How marvelous.

You see, we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, a good marriage.

Ephesians 2:10

(10) …which God hath ordained that we should walk in them.

87

But just remember, though used to be a pretty raunchy bunch, all of is, but now we’re going on with God.

Ephesians 2:1-10, gives way to Ephesians 1:15-23. The spirit of revelation coming into church. The resurrection taking place.

The Bride being transformed here. And all caught up into glory. Why? Because He has descended with a shout, according to 1 Thessalonians 4:16.

88

And now in 1 Corinthians 15:20, the church is being put in order. Consequently, the homes are being put in order.

So now, we’re right back to,

Galatians 3:26-28

(26) For you are the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. [Male and female, doesn’t matter, husband and wife.]

(27) For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. [Let’s find out if we have.]

(28) There is neither Jew nor Greek, bond or free, male nor female: You’re all one in Christ Jesus.

89

I’m going to tell you something, if God treats everyone apart from their sex when it comes to salvation, then He must treat their sin apart from sex when it comes to salvation.

He’s got to treat each one as the seed that fell, as sheep that went astray. And that’s all that counts. If we can begin to see that these lives are literally man and woman, husband/wife, and above all, brother/sister.

You think a brother would try to do with his sister what some men do with their wives and vice versa? It’s happened, they just ought to blow both their heads off is all and save the camp.

Why do you think God said put away the sin and get rid of those people out there, the sodomites and the whole bunch, why do you think? Why does He say to the church today, you got mess in the church, turn them out. Bring them to task… see?

90

Philippians, if we don’t read it it’s okay, you read it yourself.

Philippians 2:1-3

(01) If therefore there be any consolation in Christ, any comfort of love, any fellowship of the Spirit, any bowels of mercies,

(02) Fulfil ye my joy, ye likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

(03) Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem himself better than the other better than themselves.

That’s man and wife, too. You know, you don’t do it in the church, and then go and say, “Well, that’s in the church, bless God, but you’re a floozy, now I’ll flap you around.

She says, “Listen, you big mouth ham. I can love those men in church, but you are a jerk.”

You think you got two kinds of talk, one in the church, out here, and one at home? Oh well, don’t answer that question at this time.

91

Ephesians 5:25-28. All over? Well, we’re closing, one-half minute here.

It says,

Ephesians 5:25,28-30

(25) Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church, and gave himself for it; [That He might do so and so that He might present it, and so on].

(28) …Men ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself.

(29) No man ever hates his own flesh; nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord the church:

(30) …We are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

That’s exactly what it says. We type the Lord Jesus Christ in the Bride. The whole thing, my brother, my sister, set out here. God wants it that way.

God wants glory and He let us all be fallen vessels to pick us up that He might put His spirit in us and we by the grace of God gave us the faith and love that’s already here begin to express it one toward the other [recording error] …secret.

You cant get a bad spirit against women this way brother/sister. You cant get a supercilious spirit amongst the men [recording error] I’ll keep preaching this for the next 20 Sunday until we get the spirit right.

I’m anxious my own Spirt to be right. Its growing its got more consideration it ever had but sure ain’t got enough yet.

You see why it is necessary to have the Word of God dwells on us richly. Up in here, let it get up in there and have faith in that Word that’s in the mind. One day it will get down in the heart and come right forth in the expression of people. All right.

Lets rise and be dismissed.

Gracious Heaven Father we want to thank You again for your kindness and love to us, appreciate Your kindness Lord, Your mercy, appreciate Lord helping us.

And Lord this morning, we know the one thing we aimed at to have a better attitude, Lord toward each other.

Something which is of grace and in Christ’s vessels both sanctified unto you Lord in honor, preferring each one seeking to really outdo the other father as it were not in the way man would do it.

But Lord by yielding to You, oh God, not making a battle of wits and game about it. But father and bearing and forbearing sweetly, kindly growing up into Christ, help each father and mother, husband and wife and children.

Lord to come to these services here, all of us, Lord. And I’m not missing anyone because I’m very anxious for myself.

Father knowing I’ve got answer not for anybody, people here in judgment day, except for what I’ve taught. And I hope I’m teaching right? But I’ve got an answer for myself just like everybody else has got answers.

So Lord, I’m praying for myself, confessing my sins and praying for the people, knowing what lies in our hearts.

But by your grace, Lord, we can eliminate those things and we can have father the most delightful marvelous existence in these crucial times just as always was, always was available to those that are born again.

Father, they didn’t care if they had a crust of bread or a home to live in. Even it was Christ and it was the joy of being with believers in this sanctified family of whom all the heaven and earth is named or were the last names being called?

All the rest will soon come out of the ground. And those that are there ahead of us already will meet them. And they’ll be the only names on that Lamb’s Book of Life on this 144,000.

They’ll be there somehow but don’t understand these things, Lord, but we know that every true electron is going to be there all coming in. Father.

What a great thing it is to make one beautiful, great big bride unto God. So, father just may we begin to not theorize and temporize or anything else?

Lord, that we’re so prone to do, even moralize the Lord, let us become spiritual today so that we just haven’t been to this church, father just to get together.

And Lord, I want to be honest with you, I feel that we do not come together just to come to church. We come expecting to be changed.

And I believe Lord, your word must release that life in us, which is the life of Christ in us. Oh God, to show forth that we are citizens of the kingdom.

So Lord, I pray that not one will have a wrong attitude toward anybody or themselves, but begin to see your grace. Lord in what you have done and begin to try to visualize just a little or somehow let it break upon our souls even if it’s just a little bit.

Lord, so that we may realize this is your great and wonderful plan and how marvelous that we have a part in it. Lord vessels sanctified for the masters who help us to that end Father.

That’s all we really desire at this time because we know when we get these things, the other things are bound to follow. As John said, if our souls prospers, our bodies will prosper. So we give thee glory this morning, Lord and thank you for each person here.

We appreciate their love to you and love toward each other Father. We just, I don’t know how to express it in our gratitude. We’re so grateful for people like this Lord.

And we believe oh God that somehow some way it’s going to keep going on and on until one day that wave will sweep over us, Lord and is taken off for the marriage supper and unto the King, eternal, immortal, invisible the only wise God be all power, honor and glory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Lord bless you.

‘Take the name of Jesus with you.’
